Sounds like Baez found a way to get his jury consultants without the JAC paying.
That jury looks like those people who are hired for infomercials to sit in the audience and pretend to be amazed by the product.
These people are not Casey's peers! Guys, a black guy, and a disabled woman, none of which apply to Casey. Just saying...:truce:
Bless ya Scamperoo. I've been feeling it too these past few days myself. They've set up a meditation room for us to go to should we need it. It can be a comfort on days like this.
True, but the sunshine law just releases all of the raw data. It is not necessarily just the state's evidence. The laws allow the release of the 911 calls and the initial interviews and statements. So IF Casey was truly a victim, and the mother of a kidnapped child, then the Sunshine Law would allow us to see that.
She would have taken the cops to Sawgrass and the video cameras would have shown Zanny driving off in a U-haul with Caylee and her little white dog. The trip to Universal would have shown us Casey's office and we would have met Jeffrey, the guy who introduced her to Zanny.
So the reason that the DT is scrambling is that their client is a thieving, lying, coldblooded killer, and the law has brought those facts out into the Sunshine, imo.
..bumping thread for tonight's action..
..i hope that someone nice will be putting this up on youtube for those of us that don't get the program locally??
and then..........there's this:
In the same program, former Anthony defense attorney Linda Kenney Baden says Anthony lied about a nanny kidnapping the toddler. I think everyone knows that that was a lie, Kenney Baden says. Her actions have been her own worst enemy.
Wouldnt that violate attorney-client privilege?
The general rule is as attorneys we are supposed to keep confidences and secrets of clients, even after we are no longer their attorney, said Professor Bob Jarvis of Nova Southeastern University Law Center. We take these things to our graves. There are limited instances where an attorney can reveal a clients confidence and secrets.
Jarvis said he didnt think Kenney Badens statement would fit those limited instances.
Even if Kenney Badens comment is just her opnion, it seems unwise and unprofessional for an attorney to make such comments about a former client who has not had her day in court.
One of the ethics rules is that you be fair to the court and not impede the administration of justice, Jarvis said. You can make an argument that by going on TV that youre poisoning the jury pool and youre making it harder to seat an unbiased jury. Even if youre a former attorney, youre an officer of the court. This is a duty you have to the judge.
I think this is DT strategy to go with the testimony of the mental health experts - except now, the experts will not testify, so what did the DT gain???
:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
I was going to start a thread about this show being on tonight but found this one. All I can say is how the DT thinks this will help the case is mystifying. 48 hours has been known in the past to do a poor job of covering stories so I hope that doesn't happen here. I hope they present the prosecution and defense theories. If they do that it can only hurt the DT. JMO
Can the State not say anything regarding this episode? Can they not file a motion to JP about this?
I appreciate everyone who watches the show tonight and who will be giving updates. I'm at work and won't be watching. It took everything I had not to DVR it (don't want to give them ratings. :innocent.
