It hasn't been THAT long ago that she tried to show everyone she hadn't lost her voice. As I braced myself for the high notes, she dropped an octave or changed the tune to complete avoid those high notes. Really sad.

From the article:

Brown’s Bravo reality series “Being Bobby Brown” has been renewed for another season.

I love watching that show, I think it's funny - I agree with everyone else Bobby seems like the "sane" one in the family.

I was horrified in one episode when Bobby Christina went shopping with her friends, she pulled out a wad of bills - and paid with 100 bills - I thought "WOW, she's kind of young to be carrying around that kind of money."

Whitney Houston is back on the drugs and looks like a bag lady, the National Enquirer reports in its latest issue.
The once-stunning Grammy winner was photographed at an Atlanta gas station at 4 a.m. one morning last month, looking disheveled and bizarre in pajama bottoms, a $50,000 fur coat and a messy wig.

what a stark contrast to this pic...

The worst thing that can ever happen to you is to become so rich and famous you can afford to indulge your vices and have people cater to you without setting limits. Very few people have the inner strength necessary to face and conquer that temptation.

The "Being Bobby Brown" is kind of funny but VERY sad because they have KIDS! They don't deserve those beautiful kids if they are going to live like that. THey are definitely passing the torch on to them. Whitney looks HORRIBLE and always seems trashed so much that she seems to mumble and slur her words constantly. She used to be beautiful. She used to have some sense...I feel Bobby has shown some restraint from the heavy drug and alcohol use but he is still a user and contributor. They are just sad to watch. It's like watching two homeless drunks except they have a beautiful home and beautiful children. They need to wake the F*^* up, IMO - of course. :D

I feel sad for her :( It's a shame, she has great talent and pretty to boot.. ok, not in that pic but there is potential.

Unfortunately once an addictive personality gets hooked ,it is almost impossible to be cured. I thought her voice, looks, parents were such a blessing to her. I'm just over come by this degradation, I'm in tears. Let us all pray for her & for those beautiful children. I hope Whitney's mother does have custody of those children...they are to precious to lose! :o

Boy I hope the Social Services are watching them. THIS IS NOT a mother. And her poor child is in danger. Someone take her out of that home.

She definitely is scary looking. I watched the show, Being Bobby Brown, twice. I couldn't believe how trashy those two are. It was like watching a train wreck.

glad to see someone feels like i did, when i watched it...yep, exactly...that's why it'll be renewed another season..people are tuning in, waiting for the crash....it's just a weird show, but you almost can't help but watch...

i got the new Enquirer yesterday in the mail...they sure are tryin to make Bobby look like a good guy now, lol....heck, i think they're both at "fault" ...they deserve each other, imo..

I just heard on the news that Whitney is in rehab. Unbeknownst to her husbanb, her family took her there. That is definitely a good thing.

It's a good thing if that's where SHE wants to be... not a good thing if family took her there and she is not wanting to be there.

She has got to WANT the help in order for it to be effective.

I will be praying for Whitney. I love her music so, and I remember the real Whitney before the drugs and before Bobby Brown. She was a vibrant, sweet lady with the voice of an angel and the world at her feet.
Now, she will be lucky to live another year.

I hope so much that this is a locked unit and that Bobby is not allowed anywhere near her. Her problem is HER problem, but it started with hm, has continued with him, and he has aided her drugging all the way to the bottom.

God bless you, Whitney!!

well noone ever wants to be in rehab unless they have a pitchfork up their rear and then they only go cuz forced--its totally unusual for anyone in rehab to want to be there-addiction is the one area where u have to be forced to save your own life..if we waited for anyone to want to be there the programs would be empty..what we hope for is that while not wanting to be there that maybe just maybe something will stick..and thats why the doors of rehab are revolving ones and yet we have to encourage the person each time because its the only hope left..if not forced most addicts would just die (when as far gone as her)..
I think those 2 created the perfect destructive storm together - they are parasitic and really self destructive= other destructive= their children and families who have to watch whats going on.
Chances are both their children will end up the same way.

to be honest this drama bores me as most addicts drama bores me after it goes on and on..I dont think whitney is going to make it-she will pply die of an overdose one day soon

for sure-u have to wonder why he hasnt taken it upon himself to offer his services..
actually there is a detox process where they keep u unconscious for 3 days and that deals with the withdrawal-u apparently awaken and are not craving it phsyically..
but that is all that is done in those 3 days (and its not tom cruise who invented it or scientology)..its a service I have known of for 10 years.
But it does nothing to deal with you staying off the drug-anyone can detoxify but they just go back so its only useful to save the pain of withdrawal.

The "quick" method, I thought is was "quicker" than 3 days, but it does have dangers as people have died from it.

I guess it depends what type of drug you are addicted to.

I watched this show on A&E(I had the flu, fell asleep) but one women had her system cleaned out in one day...on an out patient basis. That was Heroin....

Rich people who are stars "have help" with kids, who stay in a different suite with the Nanny, while the parents "party" in their suite. But that is not being parents is it?

Normal regular folks would lose their kids........in a heartbeat........

Cyber, I saw that show too. They put her to sleep and injected some drug into her system that blocked out the heroin and then implanted something in her abdomin that would prevent her from feeling the effects of the heroin should she use again. Looked interesting . . .

The rapid detox process DOES work, physically it clears the heroin and other NARCOTICS from the body. It does not work for Meth. or other ' uppers'. I am not sure about Cocaine. It does not work for sedatives or benzodiazapines.

What they do in the process is taken from what is done for people who have OD'd from a narcotic.
The drugs given during the rapid detox are an anesthetic agent to render them unconscious, then they are given a narcotic antagonist in a large dose IV through a continuous drip.
The narcotic antagonist agent can cause hypertensive crisis, uncontrolled fast heartbeat, everything associated with a CNS stimulant.

When the person is awakened, the DRUG is cleared from the body. The PHYSICAL DETOX is completed in a matter of hours, usually around 3 hours, but may vary due to the person's age, physical health, presence of hypertension or cardiovascular disease, from what I have read.

However, physical detox is usually easy to achieve safely through gradual withdrawal on a scale consistent with the half life of the substance being withdrawn, it just takes a few days longer. I have mixed feelings about a " no pain" detox. Sometimes, the memory of how detox feels is a deterrent to early relapse.

Also, IMHO, it's the new way of thinking, the changing of habits, of friends, of overcoming the emotional cravings which spells success and remaining clean and sober- one day at a time. It takes behavior modification and a VERY STRONG will to go to Narcotics Anonymous, develop a 12 step program and stay clean.
A good strong support system is crucial. Bobby Brown is Whitney's biggest nightmare.

I hope so much that Whitney will find peace and sobriety far away from the people who dragged her down into this lifestyle.

This is a woman who was a magazine cover model when she was 16 years old. She was gifted with talent and beauty which very few women in my generation have had naturally.
She had everything... now, it's all been taken away by bad choices, years of abusing her body and mind, and a very sick relationship with a controlling drug- using man.
