Why Have George and Cindy Requested a Video Visitation With Casey?

I'm still puzzled as to whey they filed this with HHJP? Last time they objected to visits being videotaped he shrugged and said Take it up with the Jail...

Okay, once more with my question - LOL! Would the Anthony's have to clear the sequestration hurdle before asking another court who has jurisdiction over the sealing of videos for relief?

In other words, would they not need CJBP to make an exception to the sequestered status before they moved on to the question of sealing the videos?
I don't know if they are going to beg her to plea, or want to know Baez's opening statements in advance so they can change their testimony, but if they aren't allowed to view the trial before they testify - it seems to me they will not be allowed to visit ICA during that period of time also.

So I think that's why they filed this motion to CJBP - because of the sequestration question - the rules are pretty straightforward for being in the courtroom, so I think they've tried another angle - jail visits.

Sort of when you can't climb over the mountain - drive around it kind of problem solving.

My guess is that they might have filed it knowing full well what HHJP will say. That way they get this in the media again, with potential jurors seeing and hearing the poor, pitiful parents being denied the ability to see their daughter once again. Could be just for publicity and sympathy for them and Casey.

MOO they wanna know if she's "said anything" so they can prepare the best mistruth to explain it.

Still all a moot point if ICA continues to refuse to see them.
CJBP can't force ICA to accept a visit from her parents if she keeps saying "NO" to their requests to see her.

IMO a combo. They know full well it would be denied and the reason why it would be. There's no basis in legal argument that hasn't already been brought to the court previously and denied. HHJP has no control over this and they know it. It smells of the same odor to me as the cremation against Casey's wishes BS. They want it seen by the public and jurors because this will be where ICA makes her accident confession.

I believe the difference now may be that she has something to gain. A reason to use them.

CA has met with JB often. That's a constant even in court. I don't think sequestion in court as a witness would have anything to do with jail visits. I just don't see why it would. As HHJP has ruled on the same issues they know he doesn't have any authority over the jail. Imo ICA can't keep her stories straight anyway so JB is the one most likely telling them what he wants them to say and recall like with the dryer sheets CA suddenly remembers. The A's attorney confirmed that CA had just met with JB the week speculation from the media reported GA was going to be thrown under the bus because of the defense protester witness that claimed GA shoved her and the DT listed her as a witness. Lippman said that was not their intention, blah, blah. The A's will be told what to say by the DT and willingly do so imo. They just have to make a showing imo that ICA's confession or whatever she says to her parents isn't staged knowing full well it will be seen by the public, media and jurors at trial.

We know for a fact that JB has carried letters and messages back and forth since the start of this case. So why do they need the face-to-face when they can ask it by other means. It's not like they don't know what's going on or what she's thinking. The avoidance of them in court is contrived for a reason, since we know she writes to them... there is usually something devious about this whole family.

I don't think Casey will agree to see Cindy and George... unless it is some sort of scam cooked up by the defense, as others have suggested. If so, then I suppose she would visit with them, begrudgingly.

Maybe all that writing that ICA has been doing during the hearings has actually been writing a script which they will all now follow. She knows which evidence the SA is going to use and she has concocted a story to explain it all away. The A's will come in to a meeting with ICA, she will break down crying, and the script begins. Terrible accident, couldn't face ya'll, pretended to be a kidnapping, blah, blah, blah. Not gonna work, but I wouldn't put it past them. moo

Excuse me for going way into left field with my brand new tin foil hat but.....maybe the filing of this motion was Cindy and George's way of setting the *plan* in motion. That plan being one of the numerous schemes to get whatever theory they have concocted into evidence. Since communication is limited with ICA and her parents, perhaps when CM visited earlier this week he told her that if her parents agreed to this scheme that she would know about it somehow. By filing this motion she is sure to see it on the local news and the ball is back in her court whether she wants to go through with it or not. The family and the attorneys know that this motion will be denied it was just a sign to ICA.

I know this is far fetched, but knowing how this family has acted in the past nothing surprises me anymore.

You know, I've really wondered about this. I wonder if Casey would promise them she would plea out or not let their dirty laundry air in court if one or both of them would fall on their sword for her. I wonder just how much pull she still has over them. I wonder if they are wanting to see her to ask her, the CEO, how to make this whole ordeal stop. They have to be nervous that jury selection is next week and the trial starts the week after that.

And of course, this would all be Anthony code talk.

That would involved witness tampering and could get them in a lot of trouble. The A's have an attorney and I'm sure he was warned them against anything that would remotely be viewed as such to stay away from. The jail will video the meeting regardless and it would be reviewed so the A's would have to be very careful what they say and so would KC. jmo

I have to get me one of those so I'm ready for whatever the defense is going to roll out - Can you please point me in the direction of the "Tin Foil Hat" store or do you have an extra lying around I could have? Please? LOL
Hahaha - I'm picturing 500 or so sleuthers sitting at their computers on WS threads watching all the opening statements - and when Baez/Mason step up, all placing a tin foil hat on our heads....

Which is why they would use crazy code talk, lol.

But seriously, I now wonder if something has been hatched through letters, and a face to face meeting is supposed to part of some sort of agreement? Maybe that's what the A's demanded so they would do their part? I can't help but think something's been going on behind the scenes, and this meeting is supposed to mean something more than just a meeting. Like someone else, maybe it's a signal of some kind that only the DT and the A's will understand.

Good point LambChop - the "A"'s have been extremely quiet since they have had these new lawyers so it is hard for me to believe they have requested a visit with ICA to delve very hard into the evidence. I believe Mark Lippman has had more than a few "fair warning" chats with them over the past months.

And I "don't get" it because it can't be for publicity to help ICA because it is only drawing attention to the fact she has refused their visits for the last two years. If she was setting up her parents for a big bus, why not continue the visits and really manipulate them into saying what she needs them to say?
And it would be on tape and released to the public long ago.:waitasec:

Question - we know CA has been writing to ICA - but do we know if ICA ever answers those letters by writing back? Cause I don't think I've ever heard she has.....

Well, it could be, or maybe CA gleened a little encouragement from when she was on the stand last month and got a response from KC. CA may think that if they can only keep the video from being released they can talk to her and tell you they still love her no matter what happened and it's time to tell the truth. It could happen, I don't think CA can take much more of let's pretend. Maybe, too, CA thinks she can run to "Linda" and beg her to take DP off the table and spare her daughter's life. That it was all a "tragic accident" because KC told her so. Anything is possible.

Let's face it, folks, CA does not like being told no. She wants what she wants and right now she wants to talk to her daughter and wants no one to stand in her way, nor to listen in. jmo
