I am not confused as to why they support her at this point. If you think about it there are people right on this board that have doubts that Caylee is dead and that perhaps there is something to her story. So if perfect strangers can think that Casey wouldn't kill her daughter it only stand to reason that people that love and care about Casey and Caylee would feel the same. They know Casey personally and I think what Cindy was saying was just because she lied doesn't mean she murdered. I can understand what she is saying.
We are distant observers with no bond or caring for Casey, so it is easy for us to sit back and say guilty! It's obvious! She did it! But they have known her for 22 years and they do not believe that she is capable of murder. capable of being a liar and a thief, but not capable of murder.
I think when the evidence is clear, which it is not at this point, they will face an important juncture as to what kind of support they will continue to offer her. If the evidence shows that she murdered her daughter then they will have to face some harsh realities and I do not envy their position one single bit. Can you imagine having to say my daughter murdered my grandchild? They are not ready to say it and frankly I don't blame them.
the time will come for them to make a decision, but that time isn't now. IMO they have cooperated fully to get to the truth.
