Why is Adam Baker not in jail?

I'm not sure they will charge AB with anything at this point. From the news account it stated that AB was talking and helping the Police from day one. This tells me that the DA might have given him full immunity knowing that AB is illegal citizen and will get deported anyway. Could be that the DA is paying for his Apartment because he is a key witness in the case.

Everyone feels he is involved with her murder. Really, I am not surprised that he is still free. They probably don't have evidence that points directly to him. If they did, I am sure he would be charged by now. EB's jailhouse letter doesn't really mean much of anything as far as involving AB. Her ramblings don't hold much weight.

I think they need to get evidence to prove that Zahra was gone long before she was reported missing. And I personally think she was. If her remains can show she was dead before Adam claims he saw her alive that will allow LE to arrest him. It's just a matter of time.

I am gonna have to respectfully disagree with that one Lera. I would be completely flumoxed to find out DA was paying for AB's apartment. I think it far more likely that Mama is footing that bill. Just as I think it likely that KB footed the bail bond bill or signed for responsibility for it, however that whole thing technically works.

He is not a key witness in the case IMO. He is a person of interest - albeit one who has not been named such by LE.

There is a link in the media thread saying AB has been arrested but I have never heard of that place ... anyone know if this is true? Nothing is coming up on the Hickory PD.

Zahra Baker’s father was arrested this morning on charges relating to her disappearance. The name’s father is Adam Baker and he’s 33 yaers old.

There's always someone willing to pay for something like that...even possibly someone hoping to get an interview w/AB...the cost of food and lodging is a small price to pay for so many media outlets anymore unfortunately..chump change to them..

If not KB than some other family member or monies raised on behalf of the Baker's. Just my own thinking, no link.

But as to DA putting him up, I can think of only ONE place DA will hopefully be putting him up, and I hope the length of his stay is appropriate to whatever role he played in this tragedy.

I am sure he will show up on the booking site but as to when that info is updated IDK, may not be til the day after his arrest.

I saw that too, but I think it will need to be verified by another source...a blog report doth not an arrest maketh....IMO

IMO, that pressbuzz is not vetted news...I've seen sites like this w/ fake 'hot' news -just to drive traffic to the site to get pay-per-clicks revenue, etc.
