It may appear cognitively dissonant but its certainly not empirically dissonant.

Nobody knows at what time JonBenet arrived home, she may have returned alive after 12PM to snack pineapple, or have snacked pineapple then left the house voluntarly or not, to be returned dead later. JonBenet may have been attending a Special Secret Yuletide Party!
