If you don't mind the suggestion, you may find it helpful to talk to him about Internet and phone rules... If you wouldn't put it on a billboard don't put it on Internet or phone. Older kids have gotten in serious trouble, from what I have learned, for taking and sending naked pictures. Taking a picture of minor self or other I have heard kids who were charged for manufacturing child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, and sending it is distributing child 🤬🤬🤬🤬... I don't have a link but was taught that at a professional conference so take it for what it's worth. I teach kids once they are in 4th grade about it.... And not to share passwords except with parents, and never leave unattended in public, people can put a tracking bug on it. :)

I doubt he remembers sending it. He was a 8 yr old. They grew up together for 5 yrs. every day from birth being babysat by the same person an Aunt. She seen more than his butt,.She has no cell phone. I doubt he ever did it did it again. Cause he knew Grandma knew.:floorlaugh:

Interesting that the mental eval is only for MG .. maybe that's lawyer related.

I can't stand not knowing what the lawyers are thinking. :blushing:
Simplistic I know.
Could this particular lawyer be going towards an insanity defense? Hell I think both attnys. should go for an insanity defense.....how can they
do anything else when the girls are so young and their crime is so vicious? IMHOO

They're trying to get the case moved to juvenile court, but I don't like their chances there. I guess a mental eval showing any level of diminished capacity will help them, insanity defense won't work because of all the plotting and planning they've admitted to, unless of course they can get those statements thrown out somehow, perhaps if they can show the kids shouldn't have been able to waive their miranda rights that can happen?

I thought it was funny? :floorlaugh: It brought back a lot of memories of the gags we used to play on each other as kids. We didn't have the technology. I don't even think Nintendo was created yet? So ours was direct contact gags. And it didn't just go for family, but neighborhood friends too.

I'll tell you a story about my youngest sister and my even younger male cousin when they were children. My mom was babysitting my cousin and was changing his diaper and my little sister GASPED and said "Shawn's got a tail!!!" :floorlaugh: Everyone still teases them about it (they are in their 30's).

I still get teased by my entire family about having a complete fit as a child and screaming, "Who do blue" when I went to use the bathroom and the toilet water was blue!

Kids say and do silly things.

I won't say the gags we played on each other because the moon-shot is soooooo tame compared to the gags we played on one another.

point blank I think the AW's attorney is waiting to see what the eval says about MG before deciding whether his client will make a try for diminished capacity or say, if the mental eval comes back with major issues such as psychopathy then his client could claim she was fearful and went along out of fear.

shrug.

I agree, I wish we could be a fly on teh wall to learn what they are both thinking and how they intend to defend their clients.

One poster is named "Fluffy Kitty".

FLUFFY KITTY?

AW called MG "Kitty." MG spoke the words "Don't worry I'm just a little kitty cat" before stabbing the victim.

Truly, if you read the comments over there, you will see how bizarre it is, how some of these kids seem to really think he is real and they are somehow afflicted by him.

I'm not being dramatic. It's worth a read before dismissing.

Thanks for posting this Mrs. G.
I have to admit channeling my 12 year old self I would have been all over these threads :blushing: but another thing I'm just as sure of I would have never, ever developed plans to hurt anyone to become a proxy but I sure would have indulged in the Slenderman fantasy,in the words of the kids over there I believe for example If humanity is at a population of

500,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

Less than 00.01% actually believe he is real, the others are role playing imo

On June 11, the defense team for alleged Slender Man stabber Morgan Geyser, 12, requested that she undergo a competency evaluation. Interestingly enough, the team for Anissa Weier, also 12, did not make a similar request.

Aus's Crystal Ball of Complete Obviousness predicts:

AW's defense throwing MG under a bus repeatedly, while claiming AW was heavily under MG's influence and thus has diminished responsibility.

And I won't believe it, like I do not at present.

Notice how the media is already speaking in terms of AW being MG's "accomplice", how she "helped" her friend.... MG is the 'star' of this case because the media knows more about her, and has more access to pictures. So being out front, she's -clearly- the dominant one.

I watched the video hrs ago, but is she the one who gets the mental eval eval? The 1st 1 in court today?

know we can't we use names. Grrr. I know they are both due back in court July 2. IMO Equally guilty

The girls names are out in the media and they are being tried as adults, so yes you can use their names, just not the victim's name.

AW's attorney can do that? seems to put MG at a disadvantage.

They're still minors, I feel funny about using names...

Cotton clarified that his request for a competency review does not necessarily portend an insanity defense, though that, too, remains a possibility after the defense team consults with experts.

The story has drawn international news media attention. A judge on Tuesday ordered that news media not show the defendants' faces when they appear despite the case being in adult court.

I think that horse has already bolted though...

Agree, MG is being painted as the 'leader' for want of a better term, even though AW is the one that introduced HER to Slenderman. AW was also canny enough to lessen her own blame in favour of MG in her statement. I am not buying that either.

yes, AW's attorney is playing his/her cards correctly IMO. Just dumb luck that the stuff came out about MG's dad's social media and now MG is obviously the dominant creepy one who dragged poor lil AW into this mess.

I think the attorney will take full advantage of telling the tale the public appear to be anxious to believe.

Not to mention that MG managed to be good friends with the victim for years before AW came along.

and we have that one classmate of MG telling about the sledgehammer incident and how creepy she was.

MG's attorney has their work cut out.

  • #197
I'm still wondering how MG was wandering around with a sledgehammer...

I know. There is so little detail in the slegehammer story, it's out of context.

  • #199
of course there is a stark difference as we know nothing about AW.

Understand, I am also not sold on the classmate story. Seems kinda convenient. Like in what context are MG and this classmate just standing there and MG happens to have a sledgehammer and say what the classmate alleges??

Without context we have no idea if some, all, or none of it is embellishment.
