Seven children, ages 2 to 13, were left alone for a week in an apartment in Wisconsin, according to multiple reports. A Madison Police Department official described the conditions as ‘deplorable’ with ‘garbage cans overflowing, broken toilets, feces and urine piling up.’

She added that the children ranged in ages from 2 to 13 years old, and police described the apartment conditions they found the kids in as “deplorable.”

I agree. It's getting to be every single day. I reached the point that I agree with women having to have permission to get pregnant.

Authorities said the children’s mother was located in Illinois. She has since returned to Wisconsin and is in touch with the MPD, per the outlet. The identity of the mother, as well as why she left her children alone, has not been disclosed.

oldest child was 13. This mother thought exactly what? That the 13 year old could "keep an eye on" their SIX younger siblings? for a week?

wonder how long supermom would have remained in IL had she not been caught in this abandonment? Would her kids have been the next case where a mother had left her children to their own devices in filth for years like Kelli Bryant in Pontiac?

Did this mother arrange for the neighbor to leave food outside the door for the children or did that neighbor just do it uninvited because they noticed the situation of the children alone?
