3-Year-Old Abigail Ladwig Reported Missing in Sawyer County, Wisconsin

Updated: Child reported missing near Winter

The girl’s mother, Lisa Koch, said the child was last seen around 6:40 p.m. Sunday outside her home.

The mother said her daughter had been playing outside and likely wandered off. She said they notified police shortly after they realized she was missing.

The girl has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt with sunflowers and was barefoot. She may have followed her dog, Peanut, into the woods. The dog is since then believed to have been located.

According to the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office, volunteers are being asked to register at Doc Smith Park near the intersection of Park Street and Grove Avenue. At this time, they do have an influx of volunteers.

I live in Wisconsin and this is being shared all over SM. Prayers for a safe return

Abigail has been missing for almost 22 hours now. Winter, WI has a population of only about 300 people, very rural. How big is the search area, I wonder?

It is a plus if the dog hasn't come back yet, better chance that the dog is still near or with Abby. Sawyer County has a great search and rescue team that is connected to the Sheriff's department and they do have several kinds of tracking dogs. They were a big part of the searches for Jayme Kloss.

Anyone have any idea of the location of the house where she left from? So far all I have seen is southwest of Winter which is rather vague and also that there was a search going on along Old Wisconsin 70 which staircases south and west of Winter. Definitely not many homes out that way.

A miracle!!

Second case this year of a very small little girl disappearing with her dog overnight in rural country and being found safe. I dunno if the dogs watch over them or just are enough fun that they don't decide to go for the water but whichever it is, good dogs.
