Green Alert issued for missing veteran last seen in Madison

A Green Alert has been issued for missing veteran Andrew Richard Olson.

He is 22 years old and originally from Eau Claire.

Olson is currently a member of the WI Army National Guard and in Madison for a drill weekend.

He is described as 5'8" weighing 135 lbs. with short, crew cut blonde hair and has blue eyes.

Authorities say he was last seen wearing jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt with red stripes down the side, and with red lettering across the chest reading "32IBCT" (pictured in the photo).

Madison Police say around 10:45 on Saturday evening, Olson left the area of 1344 E Washington Ave in Madison on foot.

According to his friends, his history and previous statements give them a reason to be concerned for his welfare. Police learned Olson had been drinking and was intoxicated when took off from his friends.

A cell phone ping was attempted, but Olson's phone is turned off.

His current whereabouts are unknown, and his vehicle (WI 711VHY) is currently at the Armed Forces Reserve Center 6001 Manufacturers Dr in Madison.

I am really really concerned because the area he went missing is surrounded by bodies of water. I'm afraid his case may end up in another well-known thread.

The city of Madison is in between two lakes. I stayed there once, At a home where there were only a few blocks between both lakes, almost felt like staying on an island. Extremely worried they’re about to find him in the water.
