WI WI - Barbara Nelson, 34, Elkhorn, 5 Aug 1982

A great uncle, Loren B. Barker, not Leon Barker, owned a Studebaker. He lived on Bowers Road just north of where Barbara Nelson was found on Bray Road and where the still unidentified man with the head injury was found by dogsearch's grandfather near Bruce T Barker's residence. This is also where Bruce T Barker hit Wade Kadlec according to dogsearch's previous post in this thread. The Walden guy who was shot with a shotgun was found just north of Loren's residence on Highway I, 1/2 mile north of Highway J. If you go up Bower's Road to Highway D, this is where Kathleen C Barker, dogsearch's great aunt, was struck and killed by a hit and run driver 5/5/79. That driver was never caught. Dogsearch also said his cousin found a weighted down body in Lake Beulah just up the road in East Troy. He says it was a suicide, but, I don't know how that was determined. And what was the person's name? That body found is attached. Dogsearch also said his uncle found another body driving his work truck. "Years before those two cases my uncle found a woman's body while driving his work truck." Does anyone know about that case? There are sure a lot of murders and bodies turning up in this general location, don't you think? And none of them solved.

THe Walworth County Sheriff's Department needs to release more information. The uncle worked for the Walworth County Highway Department.
Huh, I just now looked up with a Studebaker is. It kind of vaguely looks like the car that was junked down in the pasture/woods my whole childhood. I'm almost positive it's not there anymore. I'll ask around if anybody remembers who had a Studebaker.

Loren was a good man, with a good wife and no kids. I can't claim as much for the children and grandchildren of his brother, or Bruce, his pedophile nephew from yet another brother. I have heard that one of them took a revised will and a gun to meet with his elderly mother one day. She signed it. He thought he was going to inherit everything from Loren's wife also - and she let him to believe that because she knew he was dangerous. We don't know what the note said, but he left in quite a huff straight to his lawyer from the will reading dinner I've heard. And one of that guy's sons still leaves a rare random drunk messages upset that they didn't get anything out of that will. The same one etched his name "was here" on a homemade Adirondack chair in my close family member's woods last year. That very honestly frightened me. I feel bad that the grandchildren were all molested so badly, and turn to drugs and alcohol. But they really do still scare me. And I don't even really anybody from that brothers tree personally.

not that that helps with any of the murder stuff. But it all swims around in my head and I have nobody to talk to about it so there you go...
