No. If I recall correctly, it was a relatively low likelihood match, and the link I used is no longer functional.

I would still not rule out Romania.

Despite being in eastern Europe, Romanians and Italians share the same distant ethnic origins (Romans and Roman oriented affiliated groups). They can also have pretty similar physical appearances- though some individuals in both nations probably have a more "Latin" appearance than others.

Going into modern times..... Romanian, like Italian is a Latin based language. This allows Romanians to learn Italian easy and further increases the status of Italy as an attractive destination for Romanian immigrants, both legal and illegal.

In the end, the deceased individual may of been of Romanian origins, but living in Italy. He then decides to move to greener pastures?
