WI - Father killed in crash on the way to birth of 8th child

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A father driving his pregnant wife and children to the hospital for the birth of the couple's eighth child was killed when a deer struck their van in central Wisconsin, according to sheriff's officials and relatives.

Michael Rogan, 42, was killed when the deer crashed through his van's windshield on a rural highway Friday in Marathon County. His wife, Niki, and their seven children, ages 2 to 15, suffered minor injuries, according to local sheriff's officials.

Michael Rogan was pronounced dead at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. His wife gave birth hours later to a healthy son named Blaise, relatives and friends said Monday.

That poor lady losing her husband and the father of her children just hours before giving birth to their 8th baby. That's so very sad for the entire family. Life just isn't fair at times.
