Helen B. Ruston, 67, is missing and hadn’t been seen since April 16. Ruston does not own a car. Ruston’s daughter first contacted police Sunday night after not seeing her mother since April 12. Ruston and her daughter usually have dinner together on Sundays, but two Sundays passed, and the daughter had called and went to her mother’s apartment but did not get an answer.

Detectives have been knocking on neighbors’ doors and following up on tips, hoping someone has a clue as to where Ruston might have gone.

It's boggling my brain that nowhere have I seen that they checked inside the apartment. Poor lady could've fallen or be unconscious. Maybe they have checked and I just missed it.

Still no news.

After more than a week, the Janesville Police Department said Thursday they have not received any tips about a missing 67-year-old Janesville woman.

Police have located Helen B. Ruston, a Janesville native who had not been seen since April 16.

The San Diego Police Department confirmed it has located Ruston, 67, in San Diego and is assisting her, according to a Janesville Police Department alert.
