Irene has pierced ears, a surgical scar approximately 4” long on abdomen, and a horizontal scar from a hysterectomy below bikini line. She has a medical condition and may need medication.

Irene was 53 years old when she was last seen leaving her residence on the 500 block of South 76th Street in Milwaukee, WI at 10:08pm.

Irene has never been seen or heard from again. It is out of character for Irene to be out of contact with family.

Irene is a critical asthmatic and needs her medication, which she did not have with her when she went missing.

Irene may go by the nickname "Reenie" and the last names "Reed and/or Waite".

She may have been wearing a white tank top, white shorts and white shoes when she was last seen.

A NaMus update today completely changed the missing circumstances to: Out of character for missing not to remain in contact with immediate family. Not uncommon for missing to disappear for 3 or 4 days at a time. Missing was reported to the police by family members 13 days after she was last seen at home.

Prior to that, it was something like this:
Last seen at her residence in the 500 block of south 76th Street in the Honey Creek Parkway neighborhood of Milwaukee at 10:08 p.m. on August 4, 2004. She has never been heard from again. Schaefer is known to frequent the area of 24th and Nash. Traveled by city bus, hitch hiked or frequents truck stops.

Not sure if they thought it was offensive and implied negative things? Because it suggested she was a truck stop frequenter. But it’s updated, regardless.
