Does anyone see anything in the pictures that would show the door to the basement room could be locked from the outside ? I keep trying to blow the pictures up and don't see anything that would look like a hook or latch for a lock to be placed on the outside. Only the inside lock on the door handle.

Jayme Closs' school is ready for her when she is
“What we don’t want to do is intrude on her progress,” Tremblay said. “I can’t imagine what she has been through and we are going to be responsive to whatever she needs.”

Tremblay says it will take time for Closs to resume a regular routine, but if she does come back to Riverview, she would have a flexible schedule with plenty of breaks.

Tremblay says the challenge will be to prepare students to welcome Closs with open arms without prying too much.

“I would think normalcy would be a really good thing,” she said. “I bet she misses her friends. She’s a teenaged gal who has some good friends around her and she hasn’t had them around for 88 days.”

Banners and ornaments made by Closs’ classmates have been packed up and delivered to her. It’s just one way to let Closs know how much she was missed and how grateful they are she is finally home.

The district will work with the Department of Justice School Safety Team on ways to make the transition smooth for the teen and they will stay in touch with the Closs family to make sure they do what is right for her.

Welcome to Websleuths, Phantasy24. The inside lock is all I see as well.

Just want to jump in. It does look to me like there was a trespasser from the surrounding area that took photos through the windows. And also removed items from the trash can, pics of junk in the yard.

It looks to me consistent with the idea that the parents just moved out and left a couple young boys there to fend for themselves. It's like everyone just left and then these boys had no clue how to manage a house, but just did their best, with things like extension cords etc. The "cell" with the box of clothes looks like it had been their big sister's room and things at one time. I haven't seen her age but I think she is the oldest, then EP then JP.

<modsnip: quoted post was removed> I think most of us believe that there is a connection, one in which he knew them, but they didn’t know him.

Personally, I think he encountered Jayme somewhere, and ultimately plotted a crime that was very much how he imagined it in his mind.

I think we’ll have an answer in short order.

I’m thinking this can’t be his info on indeed??

Either that or he is just making everything up...

The concrete company would have him employed the same time as kidnapping.
And it’s over 4 hours away....

Does he have friends in other towns or relatives he stays with...
Bizarre. You’d think they’d have pay stubs
If this is accurate he kidnapped jayme and worked their even after the kidnapping 4 hrs away ??

He’s making stuff up or it’s gonna get weirder.

Sheriff: Closs ‘targeted’ by 21-year-old suspect with no...

The following is his resume reportedly found on Indeed.com; I'm working to find the original:

Work Experience
Laborer
Bohmann Concrete - Hayward, WI
April 2018 to November 2018
None
Marine Corps Boot Camp - San Diego, CA
April 2017 to December 2017
Production Worker
Quanex Building Products - Rice Lake, WI
October 2016 to January 2017
Worked here in kitting for 3 months. Mostly packaging and stocking screens.
Education
High school diploma
Northwood High School Minong, WI
January 2012 to January 2016
Skills
I'm an honest and hardworking guy. Not much work experience but I show up to work and am a quick learner. (Less than 1 year)

Concrete and pavement companies lay off most of their employees in the winter. He would not have been working in November. I think he more than stretched the truth here. But we don’t actually have the original source for this, do we? Wasn’t this list copied and pasted, not from the original, but an unnamed secondary source?

Neighbors 'stunned' to learn Jayme Closs allegedly held captive just yards from their homes
BM lives just down the street, only a couple hundred yards away from the home investigators say suspect JP held Closs hostage for nearly three months, and he told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS he and his wife are still processing the whole ordeal.

BM said most people in the area never bother locking their doors and they do notice when something seems out of place like Thursday night.

"There was a strange car parked outside our house for a long time and that was suspicious," BM said. "So, I called 911 and they told me they were investigating something here and that the girl had been found here and I was just stunned."

BM's wife, C, said Closs could have easily ended up on any of the neighbors' doorsteps because there is only one way in and out of their small neighborhood.

"Depending on which direction she decided to go from that house is the key," CM said. "I mean [she] easily [could] have come our direction and ended up here, too, and we are just thankful she ran into someone who could get her help right away."

@Rubiconbob - I am not sure his resume is correct as well however the concrete company in Hayward is only about 20-25 miles SE of Gordon where he lived.

Hayward is about 1/2 hour from Gordon

Fwiw, parents divorced in 2007; this property is owned by the father, Patrick M. Patterson. He paid the house off eight days after Jayme disappeared.

It's been a fairly warm fall, and nowadays concrete technology has gotten to where they can work nearly year round, even in Wisconsin. November wouldn't be unreasonable. Midwest Seasonal Pouring Tips - The Concrete Network

Please no apologies. Just don't want us to get shut down. I thought they might have started allowing it.:)

Earlier, Tricia and I had convo about the SA issue and this was her posted response:

Hey Everyone,

There is no need at this point to discuss sexual assault. This thread will be on the Internet forever.
I am asking you to remember if this was your daughter would you want strangers discussing this topic?
Thank you

Now, the odd, somewhat innocuous question along the lines of whether or not SA charges have been laid, we're probably going to let slide, but any post that wants to delve into specifics or go on at length about it being probable, how disgusting, extensive personal anecdotes, etc. will likely be removed.

Moderating is not black and white, The Rules cannot possibly cover every situation, and a lot of moderation is based on discretion and judgment, knowing that things could change (i.e. charges are or are not laid in that respect, JC and her family request privacy, etc.)

Clear as mud? If in doubt, send us a private message and we'll try to clarify.

The Pictures of the house if they are legitimate make me sick to my stomach. I don’t understand how daily mail got these pictures

Since they pay well for their pictures, someone snuck over and took them. They may have even paid off whomever was watching the property?

Here's another weirdness: Jayme is on record saying that he would "lock her up or make her stay hidden" when JP had people over. This implies that when people were not coming over, she was (possibly) neither locked up nor made to stay hidden. Lots to ponder here.

That is totally normal, when looking at other long term hostages. Jaycee Dugard, Shawn Hornbeck, Elizabeth Smart, the 3 girls in Cleveland, ALL OF THEM were slowly, over time, given small amounts of freedom. That's how the brainwashing process works.

The children are frightened for their lives, chained up, tied up, locked in closets, kept solitary, in the dark for hours and days on end---stressed, intimidated, controlled, treated like prisoners, and they shut down totally, become like emotional zombies.

Then slowly, their captors begin to do one or two very small 'favors.' They unshackle the chain, and allow them to be tied to a long rope, so they can walk a few feet.

Or they are allowed to come up into the main room, and eat some soup. It is like a dream come true. They have not been killed, or maimed, so they feel thankful to their captors, and they try not to anger them, so they do not have to go back into the dark closet....

Re: JP social media activity . . . If he was active on social media sites via laptop / pc, it was likely from a different location (anywhere more densely populated). It’s doubtful there is highspeed (or cable) available . So mobile / cellular would be his mode of connecting.

“The home where Closs was allegedly held captive has two structures -- a two-story house and then a two car garage with what appears to be a boat covered by tarps.

The property also has a trampoline and swing in the backyard, according to a review by Fox News.“

Jayme Closs suspect had 'absolutely' no contact with family before killings, kidnapping, aunt says

I’m not seeing any overhead electrical lines / service into the house. Off the porch area, I see a service box so apparently the lines are underground. Also, not seeing an antennae on the house or a dish of any type on the property for television connection.

He may not have been working much in October, either, depending on the temp. and if the work was indoors or outdoors. I do think that is how he encountered Jayme, whether he was bussing tables or stocking shelves or delivering pizza.
