Did I just read what I think I read...there was a Christmas party??
I'm speechless.
I'm speechless.
We have no evidence of any other crimes, attempted or otherwise.Does anyone know if Jayme and her family were his only victims? Did he try to kidnap other young girls? Had he killed before? Just wondering how he advanced to murdering 2 innocent adults and kidnapping .
I’m not sure that “Christmas party” is an apt description, despite the media’s characterization.Did I just read what I think I read...there was a Christmas party??

Agreed it wasn't a party...still. I have so many questions, albeit unpopular.I’m not sure that “Christmas party” is an apt description, despite the media’s characterization.
It was apparently his father, sister, and their significant others. This wasn’t exactly a “Clark Griswold” Christmas party.
JP probably would have tried to serve microwaved Ramen Noodles, so they probably just had takeout or something, if they ate at all.
Wisconsin does have a version of a Son of Sam law. JP can sell his story, but profits would benefit a victim identified by a civil suit, I believe.I think the laws about the ability to profit off your own crime are determined by the states. MOO
We all do, especially in regards to what you are alluding too.Agreed it wasn't a party...still. I have so many questions, albeit unpopular.
Ok, so did you determine if it’s one or two stories plus basement? Which is it?Whether the Patterson "retreat" has the main rooms upstairs or downstairs.
I could be wrong, I'm not certain. If you look at the photo of the house from the side at Jake Patterson charged with kidnapping, murder in Jayme Closs...
it looks like in the rear is a large main room with the ceiling in the state of the front room pictures we saw. And then in the front appears to be kitchen cabinets.
Ok wait.... yup I've got it matched up now. This page has some interior pictures. Photos: Inside the house where Jayme Closs was held
Look at the next to the bottom picture, the one with the rocking chair, kitchen sink, and the tv. Above the tv, in the window see the headphones hanging there? Now go back to the side view of the exterior of the house. In the upper front window you can see the headphones. So the first interior we saw, with the rocking chair, kitchen etc, the view we first saw, was the 2nd floor, looking from the back to the front of the house.
More detail I just noticed. Near those headphones there's a rabbit ears. That's how he got TV. He should be close enough to pick up broadcast tv from Duluth with rabbit ears. Especially if their broadcast antenna are up on the hill and why wouldn't they be. Duluth, MN - TV Channels & Antenna Map
The picture above that, with the heap of lumber and pictures, would be the 2nd floor looking across the back of the house, from the "right" to the "left" if your perspective is from outside the front of the house. The deck would be behind us, in this photo, so this may have been taken looking in the deck door.
The room with the stuffed pig would be in the basement, judging by the duct work and pipes. This is not the room where he had her stay under the bed because the mattress is on the floor.
The bottom picture appears to be some kind of a family room or rec room, but it's definitely in the basement, because we can see the main beam. The beam would be running lengthwise in the house, below and parallel to the ridge. So we don't have the location of this room but we have at least the orientation.
It wouldn’t sell anyways. No one would want to read a book about that slime ball.Wisconsin does have a version of a Son of Sam law. JP can sell his story, but profits would benefit a victim identified by a civil suit, I believe.

Strange article there Caylee.
She went to school with them and she thought his brother was cute? That’s what she offered. SMH

It reminded me of an interview Ted Bundy did before his execution. He mentions what killers and rapists would avoid confessing to, like young victims. I wonder if Patterson was looking for a girl to kidnap. He might have driven around her neighborhood, hung out by schools. I could be wrong but I don't believe you just wake up one day, see some girl getting off a bus and take her. He had to have been thinking about it. He went to her house about 2 other times and for one reason or another he changed his mind before that night. He is a predator.I’m with you, verify everything, he has to be doing something... playing video games, movie, etc...?
It’s almost like he planned this out two years... or longer ...how do not show up on any address reports ?? What address is his license ??
Why voter ID at moms house.??
Car was his sisters ?? Did he have current license and insurance??
It’s almost like he read books on ex military or serial killers... tried to eliminate himself...
Then commit crimes..
Still don’t buy randomn... you think if jayme lives with family of 8 and 3 German Sheppard’s he still says whatever... don’t buy it... he took 6 Bullets.. if the off chance there’s 7 people in that house he’s screwed... ? He’s killing people with hope of 6 bullets being enough ??
Yup. This would have all began as a fantasy, one that probably evolved over time.It reminded me of an interview Ted Bundy did before his execution. I think he might think sounds less creepy if he makes it seem like, "I saw this girl get off a bus and had to kidnap her". It down plays his fantasy life and that he might have put himself around young girls. He was preparing to turn his fantasies into a reality.Yup. He eventually decided to make it a reality.
Thank you. I am finally able to start reading more again in the last few days after falling off of a ladder, and almost wish I had not read the complaint. Hideous, and I hope no more evidence is needed from those months of captivity.I don't have the link handy but the Criminal Complaint is the majority of the information we have. It is not pleasant.![]()
I think she needed to train her body to be somewhat immune to it's needs; needs like water, food and elimination? jmoBBM
It doesn't surprise me that she turned down food and drink. I am sure her adrenaline was really kicking in. When you get an adrenaline rush (which I know I'd certainly get if I'd just escaped from my kidnapper's lair), the surge overrides a lot of other things in the body. Your brain makes you become more focused on that particular task. My guess is that she didn't start feeling hungry or thirsty until once she was safely in the hospital, her family on the way, and the news that JP had been arrested.
