I’m sure he enjoyed the attention then, and is enjoying it now.Personally, I am not surprised that he did not act impulsively. I think he wanted to play the mastermind and pull off the perfect crime. He had plenty of time to plan.
I think he was somewhat motivated by becoming famous through his crime...and, unfortunately, he has succeeded there. He was an otherwise nondescript person that made no mark on anyone's memory...but this crime and notoriety has made him the focus of attention. Exactly what he wanted.
Unfortunately for him, years from now, we will remember one name - Jayme.
He’ll be remembered as a nameless, faceless creep.
Just as he should be.
