Did the Closs family ever have visitors in their home? Coworkers, family, friends? What about family or friends from out of state, or another part of WI, who stayed for a day or two? Or longer? Houseguests at holidays?

I imagine that Jayme was a fairly normal teenager, and as a normal teenager it would be unusual if she didn’t argue or talk back to her parents occasionally. Could she have argued with her mother (or father, but teen girls more often fight with their mothers) and then been grounded or otherwise punished?

Could someone who had a crush on a Jayme felt she was being mistreated?

After seeing the recent picture of her, especially the ones where she is wearing makeup, have made me think differently than I thought after seeing the child picture that was first released. These pictures make her appear much older.

She looks like a typical teenage girl to me. I am guessing that she might have argued with her mother at times. Could someone have overheard and cane in to “save” Jayme?

Investigators have not recovered any DNA evidence, or fingerprints, nor did they find shoe prints inside the home, he said.
Now that's more confusing. What is DNA evidence?

on the call log the girls driving by and being told to leave is still very very odd to me. the mothers brother calling 911 much latter in the morning also has me puzzled, I can understand why he called LE but not why it was to 911 and not a general non emergency number.

I also brought this up in the beginning of the case. We debated awhile, but I still never had a explanation that made me think "Oh yeah, that makes sense, or could be".

I don't think 2 late teen girls from another county at 2 am on a Sunday night are out repeatedly driving by an active crime scene within an hour of the murder. Scanner, rubber necking, , all possible, but what a coincidence IMO.

I’ve followed since the beginning (minus a week or so) and I wonder if Jayme stayed some nights with her caretaker-maybe due to parent’s work schedules. If so she might not have (or was) usually home on Sunday nights. I’m in no way insinuating anything. I’m as confused as ever. Anyway-I enjoy reading everyone’s posts!! I apologize if someone already brought up this possibility.

Surely they found DNA inside the home, just none that doesn't match the 3 family members.

I totally agree. Maybe Sunday nights she was not usually home but went to school Monday morning from her aint’s house and the perp was not expecting her to be there.
I have never heard this anywhere but thought it in the past in my own head only.

Hello everyone!
I've tried to read through the post on the threads related to this case. One thing I couldn't find information on is what kind of devices she had access to? Phones, tablets, laptops. It looks like everything went down very fast, so 1. the killer new the place 2. the killer planned everything for a fast and precise attack. To me it looks like the answer is somewhere on a communication device in the forest of the internet.
- she doesn't look to be one of these plastic popular girls
- she looks like a silent, cute, decent teenager
Usually people like her are looking for talking partners/friends online. I'm somehow sure if the killer was local, then the case would've been solved by now, or at least an arrest was made.
Girls and boys her age are very easily brainwashed online by someone who knows how to talk to teenagers living in rural, not that populated areas. Sadly teens like her give out private information VERY EASILY online. Their natural curiosity, innocent naivety can lead them into trouble online within a very short time if they come across someone evil minded, but candy mouthed (if this makes sense). Her level of involvement is a really big and cruel question in this case now, but from my point of view it can't be excluded.
If someone was committing a crime out of anger, rage or hate towards them, then why take the girl? Usually in cases like this the kids are killed at the location just like the other family members. You can't hurt the dead parents more with their kidnapped kid since they are dead. So, if you take the child then you have some kind of connection with that kid.
Now the question is, who would commit a double murder to kidnap a kid?
Obviously the person who did it knew the child pretty well, because the connection to her must've been very strong if he/she risked a cold blooded double murder for her.
Hopefully the person who did this will be caught soon.

If someone walls in 5 feet then shoots then leaves right away would there be DNA?

Did LE interview all the faculty and staff at Jayme's school? A custodian would have access to protective gear like gloves or shoe covers..right???? Not accusing anyone just asking.

I am sure with over 200 investigators on the case at one time they have left no stone unturned.

Even if they wore gloves or protective booties over their hands and feet if they stepped in blood or had it on their glove it would make patterns of both the glove and booties.

In many cases I've kept up with the experts were able to match the patterns of gloves and can even identify the manufacturer of the glove and where it was sold. I would think they could do the same with different kinds of bootie covers.

Heck there is nothing generic it seems. Billions of plain plastic trash bags and lawn bags are made every year. I never see any identifying markers on any we use but time and time again in murder trials the expert is able to identify the exact bag found. They know who made it...when or where this particular bag was sold and when purchased.

Unfortunately this isnt the only case by far..even those who were bloody crime scenes..where the perpetrator left nothing of themselves behind that would help investigators identify the murderers or kidnappers.

Many of those cases also remain unsolved due to lack of forensic evidence.
