There is definitely something rotten in Barron at the Jennie-O Turkey Store. This is just too coinky-dinky-hinky IMHO. Some folks may say this is not uncommon and the price of doing food business, but I disagree. I don’t know what, but I think there is some connection to this murder and abduction. Foodstuff contaminated with salmonella can irreparably damage a producer, and affect the livlihood of hundreds of people. What in the world is going on there??
And there’s this...

Van driver killed in Hwy. 8 head-on crash

Cops likely know when phones moved at Closs house... if that’s only around 911 call time.... that would lead them to go with that timeline... plus possibly lack of blood coagulation???

From what has officially been released, we don't know what is on the 911 tape. We do know that there was a "commotion" and from the contents there is good reason to believe that Jayme was alive when the 911 call disconnected. Law enforcement was on scene within 4 minutes of being dispached. The reason that the neighbors story doesn't seem to line up is the lack of any sign of the culprit (s) having ever been in the house. Nothing seems to have been moved or taken, no footprints, dna, fingerprints that seem to be from an intruder.
There is so much that seems to not make sense. And as the days go by, it seems less and less likely that there will be a positive outcome.
Putting it into my perspective...
50-50 she's alive
50-50 she knew the abductor
80-20 parents knew the abductor
100% house was targeted
10% case will be solved in a year
100% we will be shocked at outcome

Glad I am a vegetarian :D
:D:D I'm thinking seriously about becoming one. I don't trust any meat, fish, or chicken anymore. Even vegetables are getting scary. At least I could grow my own vegetables.

I agree...especially with the last one. And that will determine the other five. jmo

Yep, growing your own is the way to go. And buy local organic for everything else. Local pastured eggs are good too.

I think there is a connection too. I want to be wrong.

Fair enough, I suppose, except that I don’t personally believe that lack of evidence in the house proves or disproves what the neighbors heard or when they heard it. They are the only human beings that we know of outside the Closs property that have anything at all resembling evidence. If they’re accurate, this actually becomes an even more bizarre mystery.

Too bad there isn’t a dog translator app. I’d love to hear what Jayme’s dog has to say!

Ever since you posted the pic of the back patio doors I've had a horrific scenario in my mind. Speculation only but perhaps perp(s) egged the back patio and James ran out and chased what he thought were prankster kids. This was the ruse to get him out of the house. James was the target and the perp tried to shoot him. James runs back to the house and tells Denise and Jayme to call 911 as perp is kicking in front door. That would explain the shots the neighbor heard but doesn't explain why the police discount the shots. There would be shells/casings (whatever they are called).

Go ahead say it..."shut up Donny"

Food has gotten so boring to me. I love fish.. then I think about how it's raised. OMG!! And chicken is worse. Some days I have to force myself to eat. I can eat it, if I don't think about what it is. Sounds crazy huh?

the bacteria causing the recalls likely goes back to where the birds were grown or even where the eggs come from for their grower. chicken and turkey and duck can carry the bacteria and show no sign of the illness, then you end up with a whole grow house full of birds with the bacteria. I do not know about jenny o but I know another brand is strict on not wearing shoes that was worn anywhere else in their grower houses, no visitors, all kinds of rules to keep their grow houses from getting contaminated.

Happened in June. No relation to the crime that I can see.
Oh, I know... I posted that more in reference to the “something is rotten in Barron” thought. Who knew the turkey biz was so dangerous?

By the way, that crash was just down the road from the Closs house.

If Fitzgerald is waiting on family friend to provide tip.... he may want to consider $1.000,0000 tip if it leads to arrest. Pretty sure kickstarter/go fund me would raise a big no quickly. If your asking me to narc on someone that just murdered 2 people..I need $$$ to get outta dodge...POI chatter would be interesting if they did reward campaign to million...

————-

Maybe you don’t want to make that call because you are friends or family with the suspect. Do Jayme a favor this Christmas and call the tip line with your information. Barron County tip line 855-744-3879 or email [email protected].
Thank you all for the support and help on this case. Keep Believing and Never Give up Hope!
Happy Holidays
Sheriff Fitzgerald

Sure. Why not? The question I would have is if the shots that the neighbor heard were the missed ones at James, why did it take him 20 minutes to run back into the house and tell Denise to call 911?

What exactly does your first sentence mean? Sorry - I don’t understand what you’re saying there...

I’m still stumped about the beginning of the chain of events. The only thing remotely resembling a witness is the Smrekars. Yet they seem to have been dismissed without logical explanation. Twenty minutes seems like huge freaking deal. There’s never been any indication that there were gunshots on the 911 call, so how would they (LE) be so sure that the Smrekars accout is irrelevant?

Here’s the Smrekar interview:

Video: Jayme Closs neighbors heard two gunshots before a 911 call was made | Daily Mail Online
Because when you work backward from the time police arrived to the time the 911 call was placed, the neighbors timeline doesn't remotely fit. Something has led LE to believe the perp was in the home for only 4 minutes and never moved more than 5 feet inside. He didn't just stand there for 20 minutes like that, as the neighbors timeline would suggest. That, and other statements made by the neighbors regarding the Closs family that do not match with what others know of them, pretty much suggests these two neighbors don't know what they are talking about.
