This guy was really concerned. He knew the plant.

If any workplace issues are true and random people on the internet know it, I believe LE knows. If they know, they can investigate.

People say all kinds of things in these cases.

I don't think this was random whatsoever......this was planned: what happened was the plan

I have my own snit fit theory @ connections to the Short family....

MOO

I took a look at the Short family murders. So far away from this crime, but the killing of the parents does result in a child abduction. It didn’t turn out well, and daughter, Jennifer, was found killed in a similar manner in a different state. Could be a similar personality characteristic between two separate killers, though. Since there is no arrest in the VA Short family murders, I am sure the investigators there are watching Barron, maybe to see how a case like this is handled, maybe more. JMO.

A phone call from a strange number reminds me of all of the calls the Wetterlings got from all over . No one knew that the perp was very close. A lot of time and resources were wasted looking for him. Hopefully in this day and age with more cameras, the wasted time won’t be as much

That coulda been in town or anywhere.. there’s 4/5 apps that convert tablets to cell phone... and u get random assigned no..

I’ve got Viber on an iPad mini and a New York phone no. I’ve never been to New York.

I guess it’s odd, too, that the guy in overalls (watch the vid) lives so close by the Closs home. May be just a coincidence, so I label it only as odd and nothing more.

Just two adults shot to death, a 911 call, and a missing kid. Other than that, no.
And the family pleads directed toward Jayme to come home (at the beginning) instead of pleading for someone to let Jayme come back home.

They are letting Jayme know they love and want her.

Perps usually tell the victim that their families do not want them. Jayme’s family is telling her that they want her. They love her

My take on that is Jayme is their only reference point, since everyone in the family (and yes, both sides of the family are in the media keeping this case alive) seems truly stymied on who could have done this. The hope may be she is allowed to see TV, if she is alive, and seeing her dog will bring her some sense of comfort. Don’t know at all, but I think that makes sense. Those aunts are awesome.

Well: it's also that James is @ 10 years older than Denise (similar in Short parents)

Both have one child: a girl

Denise worked at a plant (so did Mary Short, though if recall, a couple years prior to murder)

Both happened on the 15th

Jennifer Short found in October

Both parents shot dead, both middle of night (not many, or if any other apparent abductions, wherein one child taken under -at this point- unknown circumstances - wherein both parents shot dead, there are other violent abductions: but not precisely like this aside from Short family that I know of)

I think, if there is a connection, that the perp is either a truck driver and/or has worked & now does work at a processing/factory plant (could be a truck driver for a plant)

I could go on ;) But I shall spare you all that.....JMO

Start with the plant. There are people there that someone, whose post was deleted, should be investigated

You can’t just go search private property...and I doubt Jayme is at the plant. Not sure what you mean.

Did we ever hear 12:31 from the Sheriff? If this is the only place we've heard of the time adjustment, maybe Mrs Smrekar subtracted 7 minutes when she should have added, so instead of 12:31 it's 12:45?
i brought up this possibility early on. i was wondering if it was supposed to be 7 minutes AHEAD and not behind. 12:45 would make more sense of course. i don't think there was further discussion of it because people were telling me no, it would've been 12:31 and no one else was questioning it so i accepted that i missed the source for it somewhere and just moved on.

There’s one big difference, though. The sherriff in the Short case and 12 of his deputies were criminals.

Yeah, there’s not much more that can be gleaned from the neighbor’s report of the two gunshots they heard, for the moment, since the Sheriff has not ruled it in as official evidence. There may be a reason for that, don’t know. I do know you can’t make the facts fit the theory, or aren’t supposed to, anyway.

ETA: clarification

DudeAbides: it does make the motive interesting for sure...if the fact that LE/FBI were later found to be criminals...it might have direct bearing on the Short case
OR
...not

But: as other's have suggested: taking Jayme could be a decoy for the true motive....
Jennifer Short's body was too decomposed to determine if sexual assault occurred: so the motive there may not have been a pedophile or sexual assault: it could be much different (and quite possible considering the Le/FBI being corrupt)

MOO is this could be a copy cat if not the same perp

Wow, so just occurred to me that some might take things totally wrong way: I HAVE ZERO doubt in my mind that LE, the sheriff, etc. in the Closs case are totally legit, and all that...just want to be clear: I do not find ANY connection in those regards to the Short case.

Is this the video clip that was referenced saying that Denise's brother said he has gut feelings of what happened? about half way through he mentions it.

Is there a link for the information on 'the guy in overalls'? Must have missed that info. TIA

" Fitzgerald said he believes she is “100 percent” still alive and implored residents to call the tip line with any information." Yup....that's what I heard..remarkable
It’s not really all that remarkable at all. Fitzgerald has his own cryptic and odd way of saying things. As rubiconbob so perfectly put it, “Magic 8 Ball Answers”. :)
