I think she may have been a car rider to school, based on some talk here last night she wasn’t attending her zoned school. Wish for sure, that could be all cleared up.

She was previously attending school in Cameron which is outside of her home district so she could not have been riding the bus then. She was attending a school in Barron this year which is her home district and would be able to ride the bus.

Was Jayme's voice on the 911 call confirmed, or was that a rumor?
ugh good point. i know i read it at least a few times but that also doesn't make it true. i'm going to do some digging.

i still stand by my original comment though...even if it wasn't determined that she could be heard on the call, i don't believe this was a random attack so killer(s) most likely knew she would be home. they wouldn't let her stay hidden or run away. MOO

Possible but the lack of evidence seems more likely to me that there was just one perp. Two people in that small space, all sorts of confusion, bullets, etc...:( just seems like there would be something more to go on. Also, if two people, motive is even less explicable. This does not seem random AT ALL to me, especially with no theft, no apparent trashing of the home or search for valuables. And I can’t see two people having one motive to “get back” at James or Denise. Not to be rude, as this applies to myself as well, but they seemed to live very average, almost “boring” lives.

All jmo

No worries. It could very well be one, and I assume guy. Trying to make sense of the only entering 4-5 feet into the house official report from the Sheriff.

Thank you! That should be added to the timeline. If you have a link, we could ask Whiskers to add, so we don’t keep rehashing that point.

Think radar online, but they show up with 2 grand envelopes asking if you’ve got stories they might like ...

For 2 grand a lot in that town could tell you a story.

How do those work? How are they activated? tia
Hi Lillymac, they can be wired easily especially if you have an existing doorbell. My in connected with my security system, but you can buy it as a standalone. There is an app that you download on your phone that lets you monitor it yourself, or a company can do it and have Fire/Police respond for typically about $10-20 bucks a month.

Mine is motion activated and alerts by a text when I am in away mode and you can actually speak to the outside or audible alarm in I'm in home mode.

I would ABSOLUTELY want to hear it if it meant bringing those responsible to justice. You bet I would.
I wholeheartedly agree, IF there was something there that I heard that helped them with a lead. But, if LE decided there was literally nothing but that? Maybe not, and I could see them withholding it from me.

I can not see them hearing a perps voice on the tape and deciding not to let the family hear it because they may recognize them. That’s kinda the entire point of all of this, identifying a perp...

5 feet into the house makes me wonder about the chair that was removed. Was it just hit by flying bullets?

Many speculated it had been hit by bullet(s), or that someone was tied to it when all this was going down. However, Fitzgerald indicated the entire crime was finished in about 4 minutes. If that was the case, I'm not sure the perp(s) had time to tie someone up. But, who knows??

So many questions . . .

Dang it. You guys and your wells and trailer hitches and what not. Keeping me all distracted from my task of creating something that will ultimately be of no use in the end to solving this!

Ok. So here's the deal. This is simply a rough sketch of the Closs house floor plan. The general dimensions are in the ballpark, but things like interior wall dimensions and door placements are guesses. It's not annotated, but I think most of you have followed this enough to get what you're looking at. The one wildcard for me is the stairs. I just don't know. I've been in and worked on thousands of homes, but that doesn't necessarily help all that much here. I really, really don't like the center staircase idea. It doesn't fit with an open concept design, and if you align it with the front door - which is offset to the left a bit - the stairs would lead you to the garage.

I'm also not seeing the kitchen to basement stair route. There just isn't enough space, and it's already a small kitchen. I had initially considered the alcove area in between Jayme's room and the bathroom. I've seen several like this. I just haven't been able to come up with a great design for this with the basement window in that space being where it is. And with that, I give you...

I remember seeing in another place that shall not be named, someone posted that chair pic next to an image from some furniture site (like Wayfair) that had cushions with *exactly* the same ties on it. Identical.

I disagree, if the 911 operator heard yelling they heard a voice ... if it’s somebody a family member loves dearly they would say bolt to Mexico, or hide.. plus they don’t want to get girl killed by perp reacting crazy.

Ask yourself, if you had a son that was accomplice to double homicide would you turn them in with understanding you wouldn’t see them for 20 years..??

I would completely agree with u if all family members and there circle were ruled out they would let them hear it... I think they haven’t ruled that family and periphery out yet.

Same. I think at most they’ll reiterate what they already have said. If we are lucky they’ll tell us they got toxicology screens back and what they showed if anything. Or they have important forensics back.

Let’s hope it’s something...if I had choice between Fitzgerald news conference or Chewbacca reading all the info there actually was I probably couldn’t decide.

I also want to throw out my issues with an ATV escape. Showof hands, who trail rides ATV’s? You get smacked in the face, busted knuckles, logs thrown into your shins, and hit trees hard enough to bend a three wheeler axle. In broad daylight. Add a passenger that probably has to ride in front of you (if hands tied, can’t hold on, if not, can just jump off/out of SxS), and at night? I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it would not be a quick, foolproof get away. I think it would be slow enough that I could run them down on foot...or they’d wad it up and I could walk to them.

Yes, I would turn in my son if I thought he was an accomplice to double homicide. He knows me well enough to not be surprised by it.

(he never went further in than 5 feet)
Do we know this from any place other than DM? I think they took a hypothetical comment, like the one I just cited, and reframed it as a specific.

there use to be a interview of sheriff in hall or entry area at sheriff dept that he briefly said about the same with a little more added. but it is no where to be found and I have searched for many days for it and had others help search. is like some of the other missing stuff.
