GUILTY WI - Kayden Powell, 4 days, Beloit, 6 Feb 2014

  • #381
how would he have survived the night?

  • #382
He couldn't possibly have been in that duffel bag outside for very long at all, even bundled up. It was -8 last night, and only 7 right now in West Branch, IA. His body, the bag, and everything in it would have been literally frozen in a short time, just as if you put it all in a below 0 freezer.

So either someone assisted her or she intended for the baby to die.... no adult with reasonable mental capacity would think a baby could survive that. Hopefully the hospital can pinpoint how many hours he was exposed to the elements.

I'm so glad he's ALIVE !!!!!!!!!!

Occam's razor: KS took Kayden with her when she left yesterday and when she got the call from police, she abandoned Kayden at the gas station. Acting alone.

Next theory. KS Had an accomplice who abandoned Kayden at the gas station this morning after keeping him fed and warm all night.

Conspiracy theory: someone wasn't happy that Brianna & fam were moving to CO, took Kayden to keep from losing him. After KS was arrested, took baby to gas station she was arrested near to throw more suspicion on KS.

Anyone else?

Now I'm confused. Was she or was she not released from custody after being questioned?

Does anyone know about the details on the case in TX? Just curious what kind of fraud.

Kristen Smith, 31, who is reportedly Marshall’s half-sister, was also at the home but reportedly left in the early-morning hours before Kayden was reported missing, according to WQOW.
Smith, who is from Denver, Colorado, was arrested at the 🤬🤬🤬 and Go along Interstate 80 in West Branch at about 5:30 a.m. according to KCRG. Police said she had an outstanding warrant for alleged tampering with government records in Texas. Police also said Smith was a person of interest in baby Kayden’s disappearance.

Okay, it is NOT very often that I read a case on here and cry HAPPY tears! This was a miracle worth calling my mom about. And I cannot even begin to imagine his parents' relief, that first hug they got to give him..

So happy this little one was found safe. Mom must want to kill this woman (her "sister"). I know I would. Leaving him outside? In freezing weather in a tote bag (most likely zipped closed). I guess I could be nice and be thankful that she had him swaddled, but with an infant THAT small, there was still a high chance that he could have suffocated. No doubt he was soiled which would make the swaddle/s useless against the freezing cold. How long was he out there? Nearly 24 hours or just over 24 hours?

She needs to be charged with more than kidnapping, IMO. This baby could have easily died. Easily.

This is one of those cases that makes me extremely angry and extremely happy at the same time. God Bless you Kayden. What a little fighter!! And I am so thrilled for his parents. And good job LE!!

And they aressded her pretty soon after she would have left him there. She at any time yesterday could have told the FBI where this purfect little baby was so he could of been at home last night with his mom and dad. Ughh...so sick of all this worthless people who hurt others for no good reason.

What a long night last night must of been for the family. And that poor mother will never sleep again.

Hoping that the Gas Station has CCTV!

When the cops arrested her, there was no sign of Kayden. So where did she drop him off? She had an accomplice imo

In yesterdays video statements from Chief Copp he said KS would be transferred to TX for the warrant unless they had reason to bring her back to WI. So it's my belief she was in custody since her contact with LE yesterday in Iowa.
