I hope this case teaches you not to borrow or lend out your computer!

There's no reason a grown man would leave his computer at a friend's house while in the midst of a friend's disappearance investigation, especially when he was the last known person to see her. All circumstances have to be considered when figuring the odds of any one detail being a coincidence or not.I'll bet whoever had his computer was supposed to try to 'fix it' somehow. Making this suggestion isn't fair of me though because it sounds as if I'm saying the person must have known what was on the computer too. I'm not.
KZ may have fooled the person by pretending he forgot his computer when he left their house. Maybe KZ thought LE wouldn't bother to track his computer down when or if they returned to his apartment.
KZ may have thought ahead in the case of his computer but was careless about leaving drugs laying around his apartment because they were the lesser of two evils.

Do we actually know how long the friend had the computer, or when they got it? Note, I'm not trying to blame the friend or whatever, just saying it's not really all that suspicious to me that a friend had the computer.

Anyone who has access to a phone can send a text using the phone. What better way to attempt to cover your own arse then to make someone believe they heard from Kelly after she was already gone. Afterward, getting rid of the phone. LE will look at Kelly's phone call/text patterns to determine if the 10:00 a.m. text is out of place.

Also the text may be the reason why Kelly's mother claimed she heard from Kelly on Friday morning. She said that someone saw Kelly at 9:00 a.m. Friday morning too. At that time, Kelly's mom was going on good faith that KZ was telling her the truth when he claimed that Kelly left his place at 9:00 a.m. Friday morning. After Kelly's mom put two and two together, she realized the last authentic time she heard from Kelly was probably on Wednesday. She must have felt deep dread upon realizing that KZ most likely sent the last text she previously believed had been from Kelly.

adding ~ I may have the info in the last paragraph mixed up. Do we know if the recipient of the 10:00 a.m. text has been verified? Someone mentioning a guy from Kenosha earlier just came back to me. The same theory applies though, that KZ could have sent the guy in Kenosha a text or may have even sent a text to a false number as, iirc, the number is out of service.
LE would be able to verify the number, when in service last, when out of service, etc. The fact that angle has never been mentioned again probably means it was a dead end. IMO there's no way LE would ignore investigating the OKcupid angle if they believed there was any truth found.
A few strange things happened in Kenosha around the time Kelly went missing though.

If I recall correctly, the mother actually called the number that had last been texted (at 10), and got some guy from Kenosha who claimed he didn't know where Kelly was, and that the phone/number had been turned off since then.

Usually people that do drugs like to spend their recreational time with other people that do drugs. If they really were spending that much time together I would lean towards that she was.

KZ has a history of spending a lot of time with people who don't do drugs. People who have never tried an illegal drug in their entire life, in fact. But she probably was doing drugs with him because her mother said she was acting recklessly lately and it all sounds very plausible.

I tend to think if they weren't having a sexual relationship it was probably because she didn't want to. But, he liked her and was still hoping for something to happen between them.

What about one of these scenarios. What if they were having a boyfriend/girlfriend type relationship. Some women can be snoopy (*cough cough* not myself of course) so what if she were doing a little investigating of her new boyfriend and came across the child ?

Or, what if he really liked her but she didn't feel the same way. He discovers she is texting another guy to hook up with and becomes furious. He has been supplying her with cocaine all this time and he feels fed up and angry with her.

I can't picture any of this happening...especially the snooping. KZ is guarded and I don't think she would have enough time to find anything for the 30 seconds he steps out of the room.

Someone mentioned earlier that KZ had a gf (not Kelly). Kelly was someone he probably considered a fun party girl to have on the side. What if he loved the actual girlfriend? And Kelly felt used and was going to tell the gf or at least threatened Kris that she was going to tell which led to a fight. KZ does have a temper...not a violent one in my experience but you add drugs to the mix and terrible things happen.

I did say "usually' and I was drawing on my own past experiences as a guideline, but thanks for the inside info. And I believe when her mother made the reckless comment she was worried about the online dating service Kelly was using.

Cocaine is always cut. Each step down the line of distribution adds something to make their take a little bigger random street stuff can be almost no actual cocaine to maybe 40 -70% pure. I knew a guy in college that would actually "wash" it and at each step would weigh it. So let's say you started with an 8 ball (1/8 oz) he would wash it to remove the cut and would end up with with maybe 2 grams of "pure" cocaine. That was 9 years ago. Used to be that cocaine was cut and the standard cut used was baby laxative. Of late from people I know that still party they say it's being cut with stacker or other "energy" additives to compliment the high and get rid of effects that a laxative would give you. The problem one would face as a user of blow is you never know what you're getting. Heard stories of people getting meth and other "less desirable" drugs in the mix, like heroine and such.
Inmilwaukee. An 8 ball is about 150 and it's actually more pure than one you'd get in parts south which I always found to be counterintuitive. Where I live now (far south ) it's more expensive ($170) and less pure. No drug dealer here in MKE is spending $150 on an 8. That's a recreational user without a connection.

I will also add that it's been stated by my family member that Kelly is not his gf. He has a gf and this isn't her.

My guess based on the low bond for the drugs is that they found a small bag with residue or a really small qty remaining on it. If it were more, I think the bond would've been higher. I think they tried to use it as leverage to get him to talk.

Part of town. I wouldn't walk the upper east side at night alone but I'm overly paranoid, now. Back in the day though I was stupid. Bar hopping on north avenue and Brady was a regular occurrence.

I'm not trying to be argumentative with you I promise! But, anyone can say they have never done drugs in their entire life but that doesn't mean they haven't. A lot of people don't like to broadcast the fact that they do or have done drugs.

The fact that Kelly was caught on camera entering the building but not leaving brings to mind a recent case in Waikiki. A girl entered a hotel with a guy but was never seen exiting. The guy was then seen on camera in the middle of the night lugging a heavy suitcase. Many said she couldn't have fit but she did. He took her out of the hotel in the suitcase and buried her on the west side of Oahu. If cameras caught her coming in surely there is some sort of evidence of something large...a box, furniture, suitcase, something that could have hidden her body and that is why they are looking in the landfill.
