Sentencing delayed for Kris Zocco

Zocco's lawyer requested a two-week delay in sentencing, saying the defense team did not have enough time to review documents turned over by the prosecution.

He receives only 18 years on the 16 counts plus 1 year for the drug charges....@proofhearsay on Twitter is reporting. I think that is pretty light.

A prosecutor graphically described much of the and painted Zocco as a sexually deviant Jekyll-and-Hyde-type manipulator. She recounted the circumstances that link Zocco to Dwyer and asked for a sentence of nearly 50 years.

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Daniel Konkol said the state seemed to be recommending a life sentence. "He's not even charged with homicide, and this court is not sentencing him for homicide," Konkol said...

Dwyer's parents, family and friends attended the hearing, all wearing white ribbons that read "Bring KELLY Home," but said little afterward.

I'm shocked too. He had 16 counts with a minimum 3 years for each count, plus the drug charge. 19 years seems like s slap on the wrist. How did he manage to get so much less than the minimum?

There was disappointment as the family of missing Milwaukee woman Kelly Dwyer leaves the courtroom.

"No I don't think it was enough. He should've got double or triple that, absolutely," said Maureen Dwyer, Kelly Dwyer's mom.

Zocco faced a minimum of three years on each of the 16 counts of child . The state talked about the appalling details of each, but perhaps the most difficult to listen to, were details about a video on Zocco's cell phone showing a violent sex act between himself and Kelly Dwyer.

I took a few screen shots of KZ at his sentencing trial. Hmmmm there's something different about him. Did he get a haircut? No, that's not it...

What was amusing was at the precise moment KZ entered the courtroom in shackles, the reporter said "He is facing some "hefty" charges." Heehee

Is this sentence reduced by good behavior and for other lame reasons?

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Exclusive information on one of Milwaukee’s biggest mysteries — what happened to Kelly Dwyer. Dwyer is the young woman who went missing in October of 2013.

The living hell still burns, despite the fact Kriss Zocco, the man last seen with Kelly Dwyer, is behind bars on a child conviction.

In May, there are plans for massive searches complete with search dogs and volunteers.

“We’ll be pushing ahead with the largest search that we can possibly get in areas that are significant areas,” said Tony Dwyer.

The searches will take place in three separate areas, some of them remote areas. The search organizers don’t want to announce exactly where they will be. They want to searches to be organized efforts, going grid by grid basis.
