I guess we still don't know the race of the victims? They must either be very decomposed or we are just supposed to assume they are white by default.

The suitcases were pink and black, according to an earlier post.

I take that to mean that both were pink and black, but I suppose it could mean that one was solid pink and the other solid black, doesn't it?

Do the colors tell us anything about the owner(s) of the suitcases?

I think if both suitcases are matching black and pink, then it says female to me as I have to wonder if any self-respecting man would buy matching pink and black suitcases.

However, if one is of each color, it might mean that someone ran into a thrift store and got whichever ones they could get the best buy on.

A female disposing of the bodies would also tie into using something with rollers to move the bodies and being able to get the suitcases only as far as the ditch. . . .

From the photo, it appeared the suitcases were barely off the road in a ditch, placed by someone in a huge hurry or someone too weak to manage more than just pulling them out of the vehicle.

Some 'Hello, Kitty' suitcases are pink and black, then there are the pink zebra patterned pink and black ones. I searched for the different styles and found that there are also solid pink with black trim suitcases on some sites. If the sides of the suitcases were bulging, then they were soft sided.

If the bodies were decomposing (per article), then getting DNA is still no problem. Someone, somewhere, has to be missing these two females. They could be from anywhere. I just really, really want to know who these females are.

We need an update!

I am patiently waiting for updates too.

I did come across an article that describes one suitcase as black and one as pink.

"They were not a full-size suitcase. They were more of a traveler style type, but they were definitely bulging, yeah," said Dan Sojka, who called police.

One suitcase was pink and one was black.

I don't think both of them od'ed. If they did, I think they would have just dumped their bodies rolled up in a carpet or something. If the dismemberment is true, and it was stated in MSM, no junkie would go out of their way to make it look like a gruesome murder.

Depends on the circumstances. The FBI gets involved in any of the following scenarios:
  • Federal law is violated
  • The crime takes place on property owned by the federal government
  • The crime takes place over more than one state (i.e. if a kidnapper abducts his victim in Alabama and he crosses state lines w/ victim into Florida, the FBI will get involved)
  • Terrorism or organized crime is suspected
  • A child aged 12 or younger is kidnapped. In this case, the FBI gets involved whether the kidnapping takes place over state lines or not
  • Local LE requests the FBI's assistance

A lot of people think the FBI only gets involved when it's super serious (like terrorism, the Mafia etc.) or that they 'take over' local cases, but that's not really true. They work alongside local LE and are mostly there to offer support/resources.

So the FBI's involvement in this particular case could be as simple as the police in Lake Geneva saying ''Hey, we're a small police department and we've never had a case like this before, it'd be awesome if you could help us out here since you have a ton of resources''.

I agree. I am still leaning towards DV. A husband/BF who has/can delay reporting a missing person. Being that there are two "women" does complicate this scenario.

It seems like so many people have loved ones who report their kin/friends/work mates missing. What shocks me is how many unidentified there are though. What kind of persons are transient/invisible enough to go missing without any one noticing?

The FBI becoming involved gives me some pause as to my above theory. Not that it means anything of significance beyond local LE requested their support but "serial killer" angle is always an alarming thought.

I will wait for more info.

I tend to agree, FBI is most likely giving support through resources. Glad they called them in, some departments wait until its cold and too late.

I'm an old granny with bad eyesight. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I read it wrong!

I was coming back into the room and heard on the news about a family and two small girls missing. They had not taken anything with them, even their vehicle. I keep trying to find anything about it on here, but can't. Do you know of this or where it may have been? TIA, WideOpen!

Just some ideas.

Dancers always carry suitcases with their costumes/clothes in them. The Sugar Shack is 1.2 mi away from where the suitcases where found I can't figure out how to embed a map but this link should take you to the map that shows the route and distance from the Sugar Shack to where the suitcases where found. It's literally down the street and around the corner.

Dancers often travel a circuit, (and in pairs) so their disappearances wouldn't likely be reported for some time.

Drugs are a big part of the strip club scene and heroin seems to be the drug of choice in Walworth co.

Shellie, also called "Major" by those he worked with, according to criminal complaints, was arrested Feb. 7 in a Lake Geneva hotel on charges of party to the crime of delivery of heroin and six counts of delivery of heroin, according to one release.

Shellie is described as the leader of the group and had other people drive him around to sell heroin, one sheriff's office news release states.

In a criminal complaint one suspect claims Shellie sold heroin "all day, all night, seven days a week."

After Shellie was arrested, another person filled his shoes, one release states.

No new information really. Talks about forensics. I did find the bolded part below interesting. If LE won't say they haven't identified them, does this mean they have? You can tell I am impatiently waiting for a tid bit.

"A former medical examiner here was from New York City and he said at least maybe five or six times a year they'd see body parts in a suitcase. You rarely get stuff like this here," said Simley, who spoke generally about such investigations.

Authorities have not indicated if they have identified the women found inside the suitcases in Walworth County, nor have they disclosed the condition of the bodies.
