Just some ideas.

Dancers always carry suitcases with their costumes/clothes in them. The Sugar Shack is 1.2 mi away from where the suitcases where found I can't figure out how to embed a map but this link should take you to the map that shows the route and distance from the Sugar Shack to where the suitcases where found. It's literally down the street and around the corner.

https://goo.gl/maps/5BOJr

Dancers often travel a circuit, (and in pairs) so their disappearances wouldn't likely be reported for some time.

Drugs are a big part of the strip club scene and heroin seems to be the drug of choice in Walworth co.

The Sugar Shack strip club is very close. The map says it would take 1 min. drive time to the dumping site. Was this location chosen to throw off the investigation or was the perp from out of town just familiar enough with this location to feel it was secluded and a safe place to put them? I would love to hear a profilers take on this crime.

I actually lived not far from the Sugar Shack for a short period of time. I barely remember the area and wouldnt be able to find it if I tried. I have been keeping girls from the club in mind. It is plausible that two girls could go missing together, I am not real familiar with the lifestyle but have read these girls keep close in touch with others for their safety sake. IDK, at this point I just hope LE has plenty of evidence to work with.

I will be going home and will be in the area in a week or so. I hope they have this solved before that time. I am not real confident however.

Bowers Road - Daniel M. Waldon - Unsolved Murder
Bray Road - Barbara Nelson - Unsolved Murder
North Como Road - Two Unidentified Females - Unsolved Murders

The red X's on the map (click to enlarge) show the approximate area of where each body was found. Sugar Shack is on the bottom of map.

Walworth County Gazette Newspaper link:

The Walworth County Sheriff's Office, the Wisconsin Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigations, FBI and other law enforcement agencies are assisting in the investigation. - See more at:

It would be interesting to know who the other law enforcement agencies are. If they were from Dane, Winnebago, Waupaca and Portage Counties, you know it's a serial killer for sure.

Hm, the Sugar Shack connection is intriguing. A member of my family has been an exotic dancer aka stripper for years; she's a modest clean-living young woman but definitely in the minority as far as drug use etc. She met our family because my brother, who is a more than decent guy, works across the street from the strip club and when somebody was bothering the girls, the girls would go over to his shop so he could run the annoying guys off. So yeah, they have networks and they have connections. But two girls traveling together from out of town might not have had time to make those connections yet -- their only link might have been each other.

But that makes me think heroin OD again. There has been a lot of bad stuff out there recently and there have been at least a dozen deaths in our area because of it, and most likely the people running the place wouldn't have cared about anything but getting them away from the premises.

Is there a motel nearby where out of towners might have been staying?

The husband was arrested in Atlanta, and another guy has been arrested in Detroit as an accessory. One article says the wife's body was dismembered (not this article) and was decomposed.

The two children are still missing. They are both female, one is 6 years old, and the other is a baby. No Amber Alert.

I just have a terrible feeling the guy arrested with the Dad dumped these babies there. LE says both are female.

I know the articles concerning the females in the suitcases gives the impression they are adult females, but are they really? The 6 year old could be large for her age. LE in WI have been awfully quiet concerning the bodies in the suitcase.

I do pray that the children are safe somewhere, but we just don't know yet.

MOO

***sorry, my link doesn't work, but the article is in Breaking News here on WS.

ETA: I'm sorry. I just now found that the baby is a boy, so this isn't the missing children.

What's up with this? The suitcases were found over a week ago.
Are the remains unidentifiable? What does having no updates mean?

  • #166
It means they aren't going to tell us anything.

"But the tiny town does have somedark connections. Lake Geneva has deep ties to the mob, once serving as a hideout for Al Capone.

The son of Chicago gangster Frank Calabrese Sr. also noted that the area was still frequented by organized crime figures as recently as the 1990s."

Kind of an interesting take on this.

I am reading this thread as another poster wanted my input on it. I'm a sex worker that does dancing sometimes, I frequent this area because it's pretty close. This post caught my eye because my Grandfather was mentioned lol, no he's not Al.

The mob circuit there is definitely Sicilian and Italian but Russian mobs have invaded because of some of the strip clubs that were sold off from Italian owners to Russian owners - thus importing EU "strippers". A surge in EU strippers means Russian connections, and human trafficking. Sadly it's pretty bad in this area - and they are taken between Chicago and WI frequently, as well as a very small town in Indiana. The NYC trafficked girls are housed in Manhattan and work in the city and NJ. The outfits are very well formed and nothing screws up the schedule.

I'm still reading through the threads to see how close to the club it is and even the clubs' name - I wonder if it's the one I'm shuffled off to. If it is, I can give some better insight to speculation. So far this sounds more like the persons' found were involved in a crime LE is already aware of and may already have a perp on radar (since they said there's no alarm for concern). I'm guessing either domestic or drug related.

Ok: caught up!

Sugar shack, I've worked there but only twice - my input would be pretty useless unless you wanted the rules, rundown of the dressing room and payout fees.

Anyway, here's how the lifestyle works as a dancer (Traveling or otherwise). We get lockers if lockers are free, you store your stuff there but take makeup and things home that you don't want either stolen *yes things get stolen out of lockers* or need to wash. We normally come in with large bags not suitcases since suitcases can't be shoved in lockers. If we use suitcases it's because we don't have a locker but those suitcases are those you lock and the house mom watches over it. Typically it's carry-on size. I've only seen feature dancers use the suitcases big enough to fit a body in. Most of us do NOT use a suitcase because you can't get the strip club smell out of it and it's annoying to find enough room to put it somewhere safe. We use duffle bags.

As far as drugs go - I hate to burst bubbles but heroin while working? No. Can you imagine doing heroin in 7inch heels on a stage? you can't. I'm a recovering horse rider (heroin user) and I'm telling you that even I didn't use dope while at work .. I substituted it with pills instead. Much easier to conceal and carry plus use.

Pills and blow (cocaine) are the biggies as a dancer, they always have been and always will be. It's a misconception that all sex workers do it, only the ones with addictions use drugs.

Now, with some clubs girls that sell sex will work the parking lots or the outside of the club. This means they are street walkers or low tiered prostitutes (in the sense that they aren't able to be called "escort", their lives are just as important as anyone else) - will sort of hunt johns' outside the club. I think this is a genius hustle though.

How this works is a street girl will loiter around outside the club (in or out of their car) and wait to see someone who looks disgruntled or intoxicated leave. They then approach this bar patron and offer sexual favors for money, and most assume that the men are leaving with cash and if not - they can turn right back around into the club and use the atm. Since the guy is already drunk, horny and feeling as though he didn't "complete" his night out - it's an easy score. Often the prostitution associated with clubs are these women who normally aren't affiliated with the strip club itself (although in Vegas, most are).

I don't think these are missing dancers, given the FBI's wording and location I would assume it's 2 females they knew to be missing and knew of the perp.

I might of glossed over it but did they say how long the bodies were there? I read that the smell of decomp was apparent but that doesn't mean much given the weather lately. It could be 3-5 days they were deceased.

AstroKitty: Thank you for your insight. I went to a birthday party about 15 years ago for an in-law/out-law and the dancer was so screwed up on H that it was obvious. Like you said, she couldn't hold her eyes open and the track marks were quite visible. Poor thing said she was a ballerina at USC (South Carolina) just making $ to get through school. I'm a dimwit but DH knew immediately what was happening and not real happy with the dude who accompanied her.
Back on topic--I hope these 2 can be identified.

I agree. I am still leaning towards DV. A husband/BF who has/can delay reporting a missing person. Being that there are two "women" does complicate this scenario.

It seems like so many people have loved ones who report their kin/friends/work mates missing. What shocks me is how many unidentified there are though. What kind of persons are transient/invisible enough to go missing without any one noticing?

The FBI becoming involved gives me some pause as to my above theory. Not that it means anything of significance beyond local LE requested their support but "serial killer" angle is always an alarming thought.

I will wait for more info.

JMO
the FBI could be involved because:
It's a minor that was reported missing *amber alert etc*
Drug cartel violence or "silencing" of a witness that was ready for trial.
A missing adult(s) with the perp already in jail

Worth a read:

No problem and you're welcome. Sorry to hear of your experience, but sadly it's pretty common. I wouldn't assume it outright to be heroin though - a LOT of people bang pills (roxies for example). My point about the heroin use is that unless you're sniffing it - you can't use it at work and even in throws of addiction you attempt to hide it to keep from getting fired because cash business is how you supply your addiction.

I know there's all these msm reports to back up heroin use on the rise but it's been there and on the rise since the 60's. It's only getting more mainstream in smaller towns due to the crackdown by the DEA on scheduled substances (pain pills) as well as the really good pills being tampered proof now *ways around that but a pain in the arse to do*. Heroin isn't my the milligrams when sold, like roxies are. So one roxi 30 mg goes for anywhere between 20-30 bucks, and that's the price of either 2 or 3 bags of heroin. See why there's a difference now?

Ok that's enough of that lol

Thank you, astrokitty. I am always glad to have my ignorance replaced by facts :)

The drug of choice among my relative's co-workers is mostly meth, but then it's an area where that's the easiest and cheapest thing to get. It also sounds like things must have changed quite a bit in just the year or two since she retired. Though as far as I know, the place she worked is still locally owned and most of the dancers are local too.

Maybe they think they're Scotland Yard but they're really Andy and Barney?

:waiting: and waiting and waiting.

I have been looking into any similar crimes in the WI area.
I do not think these are going to be related to our ladies in the suitcases but it is possible, I guess.

After some further reading on unsolved crimes in WI I found a few girls who were also found deceased near sex businesses. In Rock county there was Terryl Stanford (found 1994) and Crystal Soulier (found 1997) both at Naughty But Nice-an Adult Shop off I-90. Then in Ashford, WI a Jane Doe unidentified (found 2008) found near a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 shop. She is still unidentified.

There are a couple others I am looking at but this is a huge undertaking to go back and look into each girl/person and the circumstances. For those who regularly look at unidentified persons wow, just wow...there are so many.

I have mentioned that I lived near the Sugar Shack years ago briefly. My BF and I had a weekly or monthly rental in what probably was a 10-15 room motel in the 50s or 60s. I cant remember much about this place but do remember painting flower pots on the door (the owner probably loved me for that). The place was full of transient type folks. We actually traveled across the US living in these sketchy places. And we didnt do drugs...boy was I young and dumb.

Wow, just wow sums it up.

Bonnie Marie Repinski went missing near the Paradise Club on Hwy 41 in the Town of Menasha, Winnebago County, in August, 1975. Her brother-in-law is a suspect in her and four other unsolved murders in Wisconsin.

See Post #16, below link...

I think Wisconsin is soon becoming the serial killer capital of the world, if it isn't already.

I would venture to guess than anyone found near an adult shop is either prostituting in truck lots or out or the adult stores, they would be rather transient in type and hard to find. I would look at truckers since places like "the lion's den" is catered to them as a specific type of client.

No matter who they think they are - lol! - I can't believe we live in a world where suitcases containing human remains are found and reported and then all goes silent. Like peeps are supposed to think "okay then" and go on with their business.

Since whoever left them there knows who they are (theirself/s and the victims), having more information wouldn't impede an investigation. Not hearing about results when skulls are found is bad enough but human remains stuffed in suitcases are kind of hard to forget about.
If they're skeletons (didn't sound to be), that could take time but recently murdered women? Why not make a statement to the public as to what's taking so long.

They left them there to be found - for a reason. It was a message most likely.
