Boy, I just scanned a site called "Let's Find Them" and see several missing women from 2012 and 2013 that I've not noticed before/aware of. They may be on WS.
Also, ran across the McStay family on the site. There's a briefing of the case as of being missing three years but no update that their bodies were found in the desert not long after that timeframe. Therefore, I don't know if the site is updated consistently although I did see an update on one case that noted "found deceased".

Just saying the amount of missing people is staggering. I didn't note any female pairs missing but didn't comb through all the postings. They are randomly mixed with children, men and boys, women and girls in no particular order.

I am reading this thread as another poster wanted my input on it. I'm a sex worker that does dancing sometimes, I frequent this area because it's pretty close. This post caught my eye because my Grandfather was mentioned lol, no he's not Al.

The mob circuit there is definitely Sicilian and Italian but Russian mobs have invaded because of some of the strip clubs that were sold off from Italian owners to Russian owners - thus importing EU "strippers". A surge in EU strippers means Russian connections, and human trafficking. Sadly it's pretty bad in this area - and they are taken between Chicago and WI frequently, as well as a very small town in Indiana. The NYC trafficked girls are housed in Manhattan and work in the city and NJ. The outfits are very well formed and nothing screws up the schedule.

I'm still reading through the threads to see how close to the club it is and even the clubs' name - I wonder if it's the one I'm shuffled off to. If it is, I can give some better insight to speculation. So far this sounds more like the persons' found were involved in a crime LE is already aware of and may already have a perp on radar (since they said there's no alarm for concern). I'm guessing either domestic or drug related.

Interesting. Being a Chicago native and now living in the Chain O' Lakes area, I've wondered what organized crime "looks" like these days. Thanks for sharing.

Could "isolated incident", where one female has been idenitifed as an adult female and the other is likely an adult female, mean that this was family violence? That could explain why they weren't reported missing, or why it's more difficult to identify them.

I don't see that they really did much mowing - just like two feet off the pavement. Maybe they were just clearing a path for pedestrians. I assume the suitcases were originally down in that shallow ditch.

Wonder if there were any tire tracks on that shoulder.

That is the way mowing is done by the side of the road. Not for walking. Maybe to keep trees from sprouting? Visibility ? But it is not for walkers.

I have many different suitcases that are no longer useful,as airlines keep changing the rules.

You can't even give them away. No one wants them.

The new ones get better and better. Lighter, wheels that turn in great ways.

I work with an outreach and we are always in dire need of them! We have a lot of women with small children who are attempting to escape domestic violence, it's easier to get them out of the situation with their belongings if we have suitcases. Please donate, do not throw out

Good to know.

I have them because they are still in good condition and I do not want to throw them away. I will call the shelter here and see if they want them.

I go to a lot of garage sales and there is often luggage there. I will tell people that as well.

Other things people need are bookcases, dressers and most of all mattresses.

Our shelter cannot store things, but there are women moving often.

I had a job that dealt with the shelter so I was able to bring items to the apartments the women got.

I am not sure how items get to the apartments of the women because they sure don't want just anyone knowing where these women live. So that is another thing to check out.

Mattresses are a huge issue.

Yes to what AstroKitty said! I volunteer for a battered women's shelter and suitcases are always on our list of things we need donated!

Slightly OT but smaller suitcases could go to a foster kids' organization. I've heard they can use luggage so the kids don't have to transport their belongings in plastic bags.

Here's a video of the type of roadside mower they use on our rural roads. The apparatus is on a folding arm and cuts a few feet of grass at once, on a hillside or a flat berm.

Creepy, a very recent episode of Major Crimes (spinoff of The Closer, and the only crime procedural I watch) involved two bodies in suitcases, on the side of the road, one bigger than the other. It aired just a few weeks ago.

Has a picture of one of the suitcases been released? When I googled, a picture of a unique suitcase (leatherlike with strap trim and strap decor - greenish body with light brown/tan trim straps) turned up. Not a modern looking suitcase but looks clean. The source of the picture isn't clear so I didn't click on it. I googled "bodies found in suitcases geneva wi".

Thought LE was going to release more info today.

Good to read that article again! It states no DNA had been done and no identifying information was available upon sight however there was no cause for concern since the crime was committed elsewhere. I find that just a tad too precocious.

A West Allis man was arrested Wednesday in connection with two women's bodies found in two suitcases in the town of Geneva, and one woman has been identified as being from Minnesota.

Steven M. Zelich, 52, was taken into custody, according to a town of Geneva Police Department news release.

The name of one of the females found in a suitcase was also released Wednesday. Laura Simonson, 37, of Farmington, Minnesota, was one of the two females. She was reported missing by her mother Nov. 22, 2013.

Further info on the second body: possibly white, between 15 and 35, about 5'2" to 5'4", 120 to 140 pounds, with long straight dark brown or black hair. She has an overbite and crooked lower teeth, two piercings in each ear, and quarter-sized heart tattoo on the left side of her abdomen or pelvic area.

Farmington is 329 miles southeast of Geneva. Perhaps the other young woman is from Minnesota as well?
