'I'm praying he's safe': Missing 3-year-old Major Harris' father pleads for his safe return

TMJ4 spoke with Carlton Harris Jr., Major's father over the phone, and he told us he does not know why Major and Major's mother were in Milwaukee. He said they are both from the La Crosse area.

Carlton said Major's mom said she needed help. The last time he spoke to her was a couple weeks ago.

He is now on his way to Milwaukee so he can work closer with investigators who are looking for his son.

Just for context for those of you not clicking the links - Major's father lives in West Virginia.

NEW: This is Mallery Muenzenberger, the woman killed near 37th & Clarke Thursday. An Amber Alert has been issued for her son Major Harris. Just spoke with her stepmom who says Harris is “one of those kids who will hug anybody” and is pleading for him to come home safe.

Mallery’s stepmother says they do not know how she ended up in Milwaukee. She lives in Onalaska and had texted her dad she was going to Madison. They also have never heard of Jaheem Clark, the person of interest named in the amber alert.

Is there any way the boy could be wandering around the area?

Bear with me I'm trying to get the facts straight.
So Major was brought to Milwaukee sometime between Oct 9 - Oct 12.
And his mother was found on Oct 14?
Has there been any word on how long she had been dead? Or if she died at the address they found her at? It would give a jumping off point of where Major may have last been. I'd be worried that she was killed and child ran off or was just left there.

IMO this guy grabbed the kid because he couldn't stomach killing a child when he murdered mom. Add in several days of desperation and being on the run and I'm not sure the outcome will be good.

If he was, that would be an even worse situation. The north side of Milwaukee is not a place where you want to be on your own as an adult, let alone as a child. Lots and lots of dangerous stuff going on within a 5-6 block radius of where Major’s mom was killed.

10/9 was the last time MM’s parents heard from her/saw Major in Onalaska. MM DID die at the address they found her at from what I understand - and she told her parents she was going to Madison which is an hour and a half away.
Onalaska is about four to five hours from Milwaukee depending on traffic.

Major was last seen at 1pm on Thursday October 14th. WISN 12 knocked on the door of the home that Major's Mother was found, but was not welcomed.
Amber Alert continues for missing 3-year-old Milwaukee boy
Investigators report Harris was the son of Mallery Muenzenberger, 25, who was found dead in the backyard of a home near North 37th and West Clarke street on Thursday.

According to Milwaukee police, life-saving measures were taken on the scene but Muenzenberger was pronounced dead and had obvious signs of trauma.

The medical examiner called it a homicide.

WISN 12's Courtney Sisk knocked on a door of the home where Muenzenberger was found and where Harris was last seen but was not welcomed.

Police report Harris could be with Jaheem K. Clark, who was a person of interest in the homicide.

According to court records, Clark is not the boy's biological father.

Police would not say if there was any relationship between Clark and Harris.

UPDATE: Major's father, Carlton Harris Jr., is currently in Milwaukee. He met with investigators at the Sojourner Family Peace Center, but he said he left with more unanswered questions.

Carlton said detectives contacted him, and told him to meet them so they could update him on where the investigation stands.

But, he told TMJ 4, they didn't have any new information on the whereabouts of his three-year-old son, Major or the person of interest Jaheem Clark.
