Police search for missing Madison woman

According to the Madison Police Department, 35-year-old Megann J. Schmitt was reported missing from the east side on Tuesday around 5:30 a.m.

I swear that when I first saw this article this afternoon, it said that she was reported missing "around 5:30 a.m.", and it now says she was reported missing "around 5:37 a.m.", which seems very specific to me.

Is it possible there were cameras near where she disappeared? Or maybe she was due to meet someone at 5:00 and never showed and 5:37 was when the report was taken? It seems more information would be incredibly helpful.

Through some Facebook stalking, I found that she is/was married. Not sure if it's relevant.

Oh, now they write on the link, that they do NOT search anymore for her!

On Tuesday night, the Madison Fire Department recovered a body from Lake Monona. Officials have not said whether the discovery of the body in the lake and the missing woman case are related.
