I’m struggling with the police not wanting to include all of their reported known Missings on NaMus. I haven’t met one who isn’t resistant to the idea and I don’t know why. They want to control who has information, but that just leads to unsolved cases. By the way, the one less NaMus case in Wisconsin was they removed hardt, who was found deceased last year. She’s not this doe.

She is now listed as "identified" on Doe Network.

we are already waiting with baited breath for the announcement of who it is... but they may never tell us. GAAAAH.

No removed NamUs Wisconsin Missings today, though

An acquaintance of mine contacted the Doe Network and it told them that this Jane Doe is NOT Louise Zunker.

The woman identified as Jane Doe went missing from Illinois in the 1970s and wasn't in any missing persons databases. She was identified through genetic genealogy.

Thanks, I really doubted the zunker identify because of the distance. I had a suspicion it was not a listed. It always seems to go that way. However irby was from Minnesota but still may fit.

Sadly no identity announced yet.
We may have a long wait.
It's listed on the solved/identified for 2025 but no info available....just identified.

Note: LuAnn Irby was missing from a Milwaukee nightclub named The Cheeta. Last seen September 10, 1974. Two excerpts from the 310 page book are below. Link at end. I'm currently not suscribed to Newspapers.com so am not able to look up ads from 1974 to see where that stripclub was then located.

The murder of Clifford Machan, who was a co-conspirator in the Anstett bombing. Machan owned the arm where the bomb was first assembled. The disappearances of Outlaws’ associate Joe Stoll and his 20-year-old girlfriend, LuAnn Irby, both believed to be conspirators in the Anstett bombing and stayed at the Machan farm. The deaths of the mother and infant above the Branding Iron tavern after an arson.
IMO, I don't think LuAnn was involved in the bombing. Joe Stoll was.

one of the things I’ve noticed since I started dealing with NamUs is “missing from” varies depending on who you ask. For example, there’s a doe missing from Milwaukee when he lived in Nashville and was visiting for 6 months, he even took a bus back to Nashville and was met there by his sister. So why does Wisconsin have it? Because he was reported there. A doe who was driving to Canada from Wisconsin is now missing out of Humboldt county California because that is where he was supposed to report for service. And at least three cases I know of have had their missing out of changed to whoever “owns” the case despite going missing in another state.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is my computer not updating correctly? It still shows up as unidentified for me.

I checked now and on Safari it doesn’t show as identified, but it does on Chrome. I’ve been having issues with seeing different things on Doe Network depending on the browser I am using for a while now. I thought it was my computer too. 🤭

Interesting. I only use Chrome and it shows as Unidentified for me. Hopefully that changes soon.

Hmm, that is so weird. I only have Chrome on my tablet and phone, both show it as Identified. On my laptop I use Edge and Firefox and it doesn’t show as Identified on either of them. I thought maybe there was a conflict with windows, but Safari doesn’t show it either. Weird stuff.

It's identified and also in the 2025 identified cases, but it doesn't have who it is.

I wonder if the unidentified remains found about a mile from each other in the Mukwonago-East Troy area might be LuAnn Irby and Joe Stoll? They went missing Sept 10, 1974. Joe Stoll was hiding out from the police on the Clifford Machan farm (for dealing stolen firearms) and may have been killed later and may have been involved in the death of Irby. Machan was later found murdered on the Letko farm in Waukesha in 1978.

I realize that the #UP7405 Beulah Rd female was thought to be elderly because of some missing teeth, according to The Mukwonago Chief, Wednesday Nov 21, 1984 newspaper issue, page 1, titled Human Skeleton Found. That remains to be verified.

A 1984 finding? That’s awfully old to trust. Plenty of people have missing teeth that aren’t old, too. So I agree, it could be them. If I had the energy I’d try to rope that author/retired officer into this conversation for his thoughts, but I’m so anemic lately I can’t even do my normal daily stuff. Fog brain.

I agree. Stoll and Irby should be on NAMUS. I wonder why they aren't? Both were reported missing by their families.

We can add them if we have the case number from law enforcement, which we could get through open files, but the dept still has to approve the addition. This is what, Waukesha we’re talking about? I have a call I need to return there anyway if it is.

If it’s Milwaukee I can do much more.
