Person on walk spotted what turned out to be missing teen's body at park
How long Nickolas Sharkey had been dead is not known, and will remain undetermined.
The Oconto boy, who was reported missing on June 4, died from suicide, he confirmed.

His body was discovered about 10 a.m. Aug. 24, after a person walking through heavily-wooded Sharp Park noticed something in the trees.

Oconto Police Chief Mike Rehberg said only a silhouette could be seen from the ground, and bucket truck had to be brought in to determine for certain it was a body, which was approximately 50 feet in the air.

Sharkey fondly remembered by father, friends
“He had friends teaching him to play. He caught on quick,” said Nick’s father, Robert Sharkey. “Someone would play a song, and he’d play it right back. He caught on just like that.’
Robert Sharkey said he has no idea what caused his son to leave.

“He had been just his normal self,” said Sharkey, who said his son enjoyed skateboarding and being with his friends. Nick like to joke around, he added, describing him as “friendly, fun-loving, kind.”

and this explains the likely motive. Help Find Nick

LE need to treat missing teenagers like any other. And it isn't a resource problem. Plenty of people willing to be trained and put to work doing some good.
