If the police chief and brother are still alive, this might make a great investigative journalism piece.

Hi! Patrick was one of my closest best friends at his time of vanishing. It's been a long time but I remember the date being April 25 1985. I could be wrong but that's the date stuck in my head all these years. I did have the news paper clipping from the Muskego sun times but my wife didn't know what it was and how important to me it was and tossed it. One thing I am sure of is last place he was seen wasn't home. It was Jeff's black duck in on big Muskego lake. I always believed his brother Mike to know something but afraid to come forth as if he was threatened.

Update to my post. I am thinking now the date could be right. I think me and him where still playing pool leagues for the office in 1985.
My name is Mike , I'm Pats Brother .
I was at a National Guard Drill when my brother disappeared, I came home, my mom said Pat hadn't come home yet she was concerned.

What was weird was that Pat was supposed to train me at a new job he got me where he worked, the next night , and he would of been there for the training .

I went in that night without him , everyone was wondering where he was , I didn't know , didn't know what to tell people. I knew something wasn't right as the days went by , we got more and more worried , I had hoped that maybe he was out partying and was with some woman or something, that he would be home but he never called my mom or I and no one knew anything.
Police tried hard to find him it was hell for decades . 1999 our family had him declared dead and death certificate was made , I don't know much more about that though mom and sisters handled that more .

I was nervous at that time I was asked a lot about my brother , for years hard to talk about it at the time , hard to keep it together almost broke out crying at times . When he disappeared I was at National Guard drill. I kind of knew the guy he was with that night , but not well.

Thank you for mentioning him on here , it's nice to see people still care , I'm ok, still struggle at times Mom died in 2000 so I feel she is with him , she has closure.
Thank you for reading this, and again thank you for things you mentioned and for being his friend 🙏

Hi, thank you for the info. I just looked Patrick Kennedy up because his case is the only cold case from the small town that I live in. There is little to no information on the Muskego police department site, and your info is about all that is online pertaining to this.

I am wondering why he is not listed on Wisconsin’s missing children and adults website. Makes me wonder how many others are not on their site.
Hi , I'm Mike Pats brother , thank you for sharing comments, I'm glad to see people concerned and that he had friends.
Thank you for your time 🙏

I'm Mike Pats brother, thank you for comments and showing concern, I'm 56 now 18 when he disappeared, long ago but still seems like yesterday at times , not sure about Police Chief , the Police worked hard for years doing as much as they could . One of the detectives told my mom, she could call him anytime she wanted to help her through tough times , he gave her updates , great man , helped her greatly .
Thank you for your time and for showing concern 🙏

The police were involved. The only reason I'm aware of this case is I worked at the community papers in early 2000s. I lived in Muskego at the time and was chatting with the reporter who worked the area. She mentioned about covering the police chief retiring. She said that not solving this case is what bothered him most about his career. She said he felt Patrick was murdered at the Black Duck but could never get any evidence.
Hi I'm Mike Pats brother , what you're saying is true . Thank you for saying this , and for showing concern 🙏

I truly hope you get answers! It's got to be excruciatingly painful not knowing for all these years.

You know, Wisconsin is an open records state and your brother's case was handled by Muskego Police Department. You could ask them for a copy of the file, it might give you some ideas or answers. @Mike America

Hi Everyone,
First and foremost, i want to thank each and every one of you for you for keeping Patrick in your thoughts. For many years we have all wondered what truly happened me especially. Patrick Kennedy was/is my father and I was very young when he disappeared. This is extremely difficult for me because I never had the chance to get to know my father, but reading through this has helped me. I will add that I stopped the former police chief who was at the time the mayor at city hall to talk to him about the case and I felt very brushed off at the time but he took my information to have his office schedule a time for me to come in to speak with him and never heard anything. I feel like because of that i've always felt a little uneasy about him. I was however able to speak with the detective that any new information goes to about the case and got some information from him but there had been no developments in the case, and this was about 12 years ago. They did mention a suspect that they believe had something to do with his disappearance, but they didn't have enough evidence to go on. I've gotten a little information here and there from my family, but i've been for the most part sheltered from this for a lot of my life. I have a little contact with my aunt and i'm glad that I at least have part of my father's side of the family around. I now have grown up and have my own children and thinking about my past and my struggles without knowing what happened to my father I couldn't imagine something happening to me and them having to deal with the consequences of growing up without their father. I beg of you if anyone has any information or anything about my father's disappearance please come forward.

Sincerely,
S.F.

Just a gut feeling cause he really acted like he was afraid of something almost like he was threatened. I could be Wong but it's a feeling. The police I do believe did talk to him then. Pat also had a son. I'm not gona mention his name though.
i appreciate you keeping my name private. I also appreciate you sharing what you know and taking the time to remember him I was only 3 years old when he disappeared so i dont have a lot of information about it.

Just so you know, I submitted that to doe network. Since I am not privy to whether there’s any of those available to law enforcement, but they very well could have them. @Pennysmom1 @Myzery187
