The Wausau Police Department is asking for your help in locating a missing person.

We would like to make contact with Paul D. Hitz as we are concerned for his welfare.

Paul left his address on the northeast side of Wausau between December 19th and 20th. He has not been in contact with his family for several days, which is unusual.

The last reported sighting of Paul was near the Blue Willow Restaurant (N 4th Ave and Merrill Ave), in Wausau the morning of December 20th. He may be driving a black 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck with a flame design on the grill and Wisconsin license plate 463232.

Body of missing Wausau man found next to flipped vehicle

Authorities say the body of a Wausau man reported missing last week was discovered on a frozen creek next to a vehicle found flipped over on the ice.

The Wausau Police Department says body of Paul Hitz was discovered Sunday after police responded to a report of the vehicle spotted on the ice. Hitz was said to be in that vehicle when he was reported missing.

The cause of death had not been determined. No further details have been released.
