Police investigate homicide of 6 people found dead at Milwaukee home

January 24, 2022

Six people were found dead at a home in Wisconsin's largest city in what police are investigating as a homicide.

Officers were conducting a welfare check at a residence in Milwaukee's Park West neighborhood on Sunday afternoon when they discovered the bodies of four men and one woman, according to the Milwaukee Police Department. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office announced early Monday that the body of a fifth man was also found at the location.

During a press conference Sunday night, Milwaukee Police Assistant Chief Paul Formolo said all of the deaths are being considered homicides, though he did not provide a cause of death. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed via Twitter overnight that the sixth body was also a homicide victim. Autopsies are expected to be conducted Monday, according to Formolo.

6 dead in Milwaukee home, victims identified

“Am I in a movie? This is not real," said Tiffany Whittington.

Whittington remembers her cousin, 49-year-old Michelle Williams.

"She didn’t deserve this – in her own home!" said Whittington.

Family grew concerned late last week when they had not heard from Williams.

When they got there, they said the smell – the stench – was so overpowering. Neighbors said they had been smelling it for a few days," Whittington said.

Williams was killed alongside her husband, Michael Williams.

"She was the best person you could meet," said Whittington. "She literally had the best heart. She was not in the street or in a gang that would cause her this harm."

Just a few questions I have - Was there anyone unaccounted for? Was there anyone who was supposed to be there who didn't show up? Why were they all gathered together? Was anyone in a dispute with anyone else? These are all questions that come to mind.

Court records obtained by the WISN 12 Investigative Unit show three of the six victims' names appear on a witness list for a pending homicide case in Milwaukee County Court.

"We are still looking into all angles. Obviously, you never want to use one explanation for a particular incident and stick to that; understanding that there might be some other angles we have to explore," Norman said when asked if the witness angle was being explored as a possible motive. "At this time, we're pretty sure that that is not relative to this particular incident, but we never want to take away any particular explanation for what we're finding in this investigation."

It probably has something to do with it or it could be someone who wants LE to think that.

Did they ever release said info on the four POIs?

Still nothing in the news about the four "persons of interest" "in custody".
No names, no charges, nothing, and it's been over a month.

I don't get it. How long does it take to build a case in Milwaukee over a massacre?

I would assume these four must have been released already. They cannot be held without charges in a timely manner.

Its possible that they are being held on other unrelated charges. .
