Per the article above - "Reena's father was the last person to see her about 90 minutes before she went missing."

If he was the last person to see Reena, how does he know that she didn't go missing until 90 minutes later? If no one saw her after he did, she could have "gone missing" 5 minutes later or thirty minutes later. :moo:

Absolutely heartbreaking and absolutely could have been prevented IMO. Dad was the last one to see her...90 MINUTES EARLIER? This poor baby was 3 years old. What is wrong with people? I don't care where you live. No 3 year old should be left unattended outside for ANY amount of time, period. Regardless whether the autopsy shows this was an accidental drowning, as far as I'm concerned, this was no accident. This child was not supervised and the parent(s) responsible for her care that day should be held accountable for her death. I will not be the least bit surprised if there are other family "issues" that surface.

I briefly checked out one of the older daughters FB pages (not sure if she is moms or dads daughter?). Interesting comments on the pictures of that daughters little girl from 2011.

RIP beautiful girl.

I'll look back, but I thought other articles said she was missing 90 minutes before LE was called. I figured they spent an hour or so looking for her before calling for help.

Worse yet, that 90 minutes as the last time seen matches up to the time the neighbors brought her back.

N says she and another neighbor found Williams wondering barefoot Tuesday evening about a mile from her house around 5:30.

So what the little girl comes back and she is let to run free again?

OMG! No freaking way! So if neighbors brought her back at 5:30 they had to have lost sight of her again right away or at least within 30 minutes! Mom was napping. What was Dad doing? This does not sound good at all.

She's gone???

:tears:

My heart hurts....once again....

"She was last seen an hour or 90 minutes before she was reported missing, Burnett County Sheriff Dean Roland said Wednesday afternoon.

Officials issued an Amber Alert, and an FBI team responded to the scene, Roland said."

Interesting an amber alert was supposedly issued. Usually they cannot do that unless they have a description of a vehicle used in an abduction.

Where did her parents think she was for that 90 minutes?

"Reena's mother, Jenna Danish still seemed to hold out hope earlier in the day.

"She don't ever go in the woods by herself. She don't go off by herself, she knows better," she told KARE 11. "For three years old she knows her boundaries. She's very smart.""

It looks like the mom is the one that said Reena knows better. Uggh.

Ok, i'm catching up here so pardon me if i've missed something. The mother is taking THE HITS HERE. I'm not saying anyone is to blame but the Dad was the last to see her and yet the mother is to blame? I'm not sure if anyone is to blame, she obviously is a runner, I concern myself with the time frame knowing she is a runner. I concern myself who this "Nanny" person who knows she wonders and yets says "she knows better" I concern myself with them not going directly to the water. This is such a sad situation that these people have to live with but I just don't understand the comments against the mom when the dad was the last to see her. This whole thing makes me sick. Am I missing something? I feel so terrible for this child but if theres blame to be made, not sure where it goes. IMO

PS, i'm not placing blame on the dad either, just saying. IMO

I wonder if Dad went inside to get a drink around 5:30 when the child was returned, went back outside and started looking for her for an hour before he woke Mom up and Mom reported her missing immediately upon waking. Maybe Mom was sleeping before a late night shift? Is this a step-father?? Just thinking...hope this isn't against TOS.

Most parents would notify LE immediately upon realizing a 3 yr old is missing. Especially around so much water.

"Roland said Williams was last seen by her father around six o'clock Tuesday night barefoot, playing with the family dog."

From the same article I quoted last.

So the neighbor brings her back at 5:30 and Dad last sees her around 6. She was reported missing around 7.

For 90 minutes?

I'm not without compassion for this family, but so tired of seeing these poor children losing their lives. Common sense seems to be missing in some of these parents

Brought back by a neighbor at 5:30 - found ONE mile away. How long would it take a 3 year old to walk a mile? And no one realized she was even gone?

So she's back for 30 minutes. Dad last saw her at 6... LE not called til 7. I doubt he spent an hour looking before he called. Surely, he would have checked with the neighbor that returned her earlier and surely SOMEONE would have called the police for help. My guess is dad didn't check on her for that hour.

I don't think there was any mention of the dad in MSM until after Reena was found, so people directed the hits at Mom.

Somebody is to blame. This child was not properly supervised. I expect neglect charges to come in the next few days.

I don't think anyone is wanting to blame Mom or Dad. What got this started is reports that this child wandered off twice and was returned twice to her home on the day she went missing. Once she was a mile from her home. Apparently this was not the first time she was found by neighbors wandering around the area. I think people feel this is neglectful of parents. Once is an accident...three or four time is neglectful. Especially around so much water. 3 year old children do not understand their boundries. They need constant attention and apparently this little child was not watched very closely.

I am sure the Dad was thinking, "Oh-she's gone on a hike again. She will show up or someone will bring her home soon." I certainly feel for these people. I am not bashing them, just questioning their parenting skills I guess. The death of this poor child could have been prevented with a little more supervision. MOO

All in All, this family is paying the worst price known to mankind. They have to relive this whole ordeal day in and day out. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Until something else comes up. My prayers are to this family and their loss. God Bless Rest in Peace Reena!

ON top of that, if your 3 yr old has just been returned to you, by a neighbor who lives a mile away, do you then leave your little wanderer outside by herself again? Wouldn't you bring her inside while you get the drink? It makes no sense, imo.

I'm not saying this happened, but it did cross my mind that Reena may have been punished after she was brought back by the neighbor.

There was also a mention of a car with MO plates in the area, with no camping gear. Listen to video at link.

I'm anxious to hear the conclusion of the ME.

Of course they are. But that is why I was saying there is a difference between a child getting away from you ONCE, and then you realize that they need some tighter supervision. But she went wandering off three times that day, apparently. So imo, that is neglect. One time is an accident and I feel much sympathy. But three times, that is so frustrating to hear.
