GUILTY WI - Reena Williams, 3, Town of Swiss, 14 Aug 2012

I don't understand why it took close to 24 hours to find her if she was only 75 feet from her house and they had all those searchers.

Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2

Either someone dumped her, or they hadn't got to that section of their grid yet with divers--i don't know if to call them divers since it was only 3ft of water she was found in.

I'm so heartbroken about this.....I was desperately hoping she would be found safe.

Rest in peace, little Reena....

Hi Knox,

Good to see you on here ... imo absolutely nobody was watching the 3 year old. Literally makes me sick.

Hi Ele :seeya:

Mom didn't seem too upset in the video, maybe she's just very stoic. I agree with you, no one was keeping an eye on this beautiful little one, except the dog.

Since when does a three yr old know not to wander off or get too close to the edge of a lake? That 'nanny' needs to have her head examined.

Hope she has no other clients, for sure!

The news clip on this link stated that the reporter talked to people who say that she was brought back twice that day by neighbors.

That makes me really sad. She must have been very lonely and bored to keep running off like that.

My neighbor called me one day to tell me she was watching my toddler chasing a cat down the sidewalk, away from my house. She had sent her 12 yr old out to catch up to him. I was mortified because I thought he was asleep.

But it did not happen twice more that day, that's for sure. If she really did wander off three times in one day, that borders on negligence, imo.

I'll definitely be watching for updates on this. Something about where she was discovered is off. Wouldn't you start close to the home and work out?

Unless when they opened the dam gates, it pushed her little body into the creek. Any locals know if that is a possibility?

I'm so mad and so sad at the same time. To look at those pics and know that is all anymore. So heartbreaking.... and so preventable.

Are you kidding me? There is nothing sexual about a three year old without a shirt on. Girl or boy.

Not to you or me but to a pedophile it is very sexual. I have even heard some pedophiles claim that a child was coming on to them.

The side where I believe she was found is slow to no moving.

The dam doesn't really have an affect on that side.

As for local, I have a cabin on the Yellow River, but I live in Minnesota.

if you watch the video where they interview the mother, they show the water and it looks pretty murky...

I was just thinking that. The area isn't conducive to any little ones coming over to play really. Hence, why her and the dog were close. imo

this beautiful child should not be dead!!!
wandered away 2 in one day-put them all in jail!!!
I am sorry-but this just makes me angry!!!

I wonder if there were any little ones in the larger area for Reena to play with. Rather sounds like this active child was lonely not to mention unsupervised throughout the daytime hours.

Also, isn't 7 pm (even in summer) a time to be in the house and accounted for, either eating dinner or taking a bath, etc?

I'm just so angry and sad at the same time. Totally preventable, if it was an accident, that is.

As does the absence of recent photos save the one uploaded just "last Wednesday".

I agree.
I think what bothered people about the picture was the combination of her having no shirt on PLUS wearing a little make-up, and then the Mardi-gras beads, which are usually given for doing awkward things in exchange.

Again, I cannot judge it, as my DD used to play dress up and liked wearing my make up at that age. And I had pix of her with no shirt on, and that never occurred to me it was 'wrong' to have.

I hear ya Katydid!

Sleuthing on WS certainly has changed my perceptions of innocent seeming pics/actions etc.!
