''FRANKLIN, Wis. - From missing person to crime scene investigation, members of law enforcement searched in and around Sandra Eckert's home Thursday, April 15 as the investigation into her disappearance continues.

Husband of missing woman arrested while police search home

Investigators executed a search warrant at her home.

Her husband told WISN 12 that police locked him up at the police station while they searched the couple's home.

Investigators aren't commenting on the case yet.

Investigators and state agents from the crime lab were at the home Thursday.

Search warrants for the house and a separate storage building in Franklin were filed under a seal.

Wes Eckert told WISN 12 Friday when investigators served the search warrant, it said it was for a suspected homicide investigation.

He said he was arrested because he had an antique gun on the wall and he's a convicted felon for a 1970s financial crime so he isn't allowed to have firearms.

Her husband, Wes Eckert, is speaking out for the first time since her disappearance.

It comes less than 24 hours after Franklin police and investigators with the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Crime Laboratory searched the home Sandra and Wes share on North Cape Road, near Country Dale School.

“If anybody sees her, send her home,” said Wes Eckert. “Send her home for her kids. Not so much for me, but for the kids. It’s no secret we didn’t get along, but we live together and made a family. This is especially hard on my kids.”

“My mom recently died,” said Wes. “Sandra and I had an argument over my mother’s will. She wanted me to contest it, and I said I wouldn’t it. The last thing Sandra said to me was that I will hear from her lawyer. I convinced her to go upstairs and go to bed. I said we’d talk in the morning.”

That was March 26, the same night Sandra was last seen at home.

Wes says Sandra must have gotten up in the middle of the night while he was sleeping, and left the house. He says she took his old car, because he had her car keys.

“She had an extra key to my car and I didn’t know it,” said Wes.

Sandra’s cell phone, social media and bank accounts have not been used since she was last seen.

“She had some cash, but how long is that going to last?” Wes asked. “I agree she wouldn’t leave her kids or grandkids. At first, I just thought she was trying to show me a lesson.”

I keep wondering why her husband took her keys from her and then made a statement that he was surprised she had a copy of a key to one of his cars. It also makes me wonder if she left for a battered women's shelter if they didn't "get along" and he exhibits potentially controlling behavior of hiding her keys.

One of the first questions I had as well.

It’s stated that she doesn’t have dementia or an impairment. So I don’t see that to be the cause for him to take her keys (for her protection) IMO

I just went to the Help Find Sandy fb page and I may be wrong but I don’t remember it looking like this yesterday. The only thing I can see is her license plate number on every post.

What did it look like before? It looks like the license number has popped up so much because of updates and it's the banner picture for the page. Here is the website associated with the FB: https://www.helpfindsandy.com/?fbclid=IwAR3YC_o9bVO2qrAbhawcU93F_rYMg__EIaXlFfjLSd9tqDUUj82nexjqkaE

I may be wrong but I thought there were posts with various info...like maybe one had info about the reward, another with her description, last seen info...
But I could be getting the fb page & the website mixed up :confused:

Husband of missing woman arrested while police search home

Investigators executed a search warrant at her home.

Her husband told WISN 12 that police locked him up at the police station while they searched the couple's home.

Investigators aren't commenting on the case yet.

Investigators and state agents from the crime lab were at the home Thursday.

Search warrants for the house and a separate storage building in Franklin were filed under a seal.

Wes Eckert told WISN 12 Friday when investigators served the search warrant, it said it was for a suspected homicide investigation.

I wonder what info LE has to serve it as a suspected homicide?
I don't like when a spouse of a missing person starts out telling us that they don't get along \ had an argument just before they disappeared aka Chris watts "emotional conversation" w Shanann. Him having her keys is a flag to me.

There's definitely something odd w/ the husband's story. The 05 Stratus is at best worth less than $1,000, most likely about $500 depending on its condition. What's it to him to rid himself of Sandra and his old car then be able to retain all of their property w/o the costs/hassle of a divorce wherein he'd possibly only get 1/2 of what they own? Sandra and her convicted felon hubby don't get along well, had an argument, she "leaves", car is seen under the cover of darkness @ 3am (driver unknown), then amazingly she's no where to be found. If she left for a shelter (or hotel room or anywhere else) I'm thinking she would have contacted someone (i.e., esp. her lawyer since she supposedly told hubby he would be hearing from her attny) by now. LE needs to get divers into any large bodies of water in that area. They'll probably find that Stratus w/ Sandra likely in a position which shows she didn't drive that car into the water. :( JMO
