A Wisconsin judge has agreed to release “Slender Man” stabber Morgan Geyser from a psychiatric hospital despite desperate last-minute efforts by health officials to keep her committed.

Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Bohren on Thursday signed off on releasing the 22-year-old from Winnebago Mental Health Institute, nearly 11 years after she almost killed a classmate in a twisted attack to please the creepy “Slender Man” horror character.

The judge initially agreed in January to release Geyser from the facility — but state health officials requested last week to keep her committed over “red flags” in her behavior.

Geyser was granted her release during a March hearing. At the final hearing on April 28 to approve her release plan, the Waukesha Assistant District Attorney found out the location of the group home minutes before the hearing started. It would mean Geyser would be close to where her victim is now living and attending school. The ADA said the authors of the plan never consulted with the victim.

The judge questioned why the Department of Human Services hadn't shared the details of the plan with the court or defense sooner. He agreed and told the state to find a new group home for Geyser. He gave them a 30 day deadline. A hearing for her new release plan is set for June 9th.

Madison police were just notified this morning that Morgan cut off her ankle monitor and fled last night.

MADISON, Wis. - Authorities in Madison are searching for Morgan Geyser, who cut off her Department of Corrections monitoring bracelet and left a group home Saturday night, Nov. 22.

Geyser was last seen in the area of Kroncke Dr. in Madison around 8 p.m. with an "adult acquaintance." Her whereabouts are unknown as of Sunday morning.

So stupid. Shes gonna spend another decade plus in jail imo. Shes been out for less than 6 months and is already in massive violation of her release conditions.

Hope it was worth it

Im not sure exactly, but id imagine not chopping off your ankle monitor was probably high up on the list

i watched the hearings and couldn't understand the reasons they were releasing her at that time. It was so obvious she had NOT taken accountability and was playing a game. Were they really that easily fooled?

I hope her victim is safe and secure right now. I don't think nearly enough rehabilitation could have occurred to allow for her early release. JMO
