I hope she’s still alive at this point.

I’m concerned she might have been abducted and then discarded.

Run Sophia Run!

Was her prenatal care being done under her parents insurance or Medicaid?

  • Sophia's case could soon be in the hands of the US Marshals Service according to Beaver Dam Police.
  • Since day one, Beaver Dam Police have been in close contact with LE on both the state and federal level.

"It hits your gut," Leah Franklin, Sophia's mom, told the Journal Sentinel on Tuesday. "We want her not with that person. His age is obviously concerning. It is also the fact that he wanted to take her. The whole situation scares me. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen."

She described her daughter, the third of her seven children, as a "brilliant, extremely intelligent girl and an awesome trumpet player."

"There is nothing that has happened that has taken away one ounce of our love for you," Leah Franklin said she would tell her daughter if she could speak to her. "We just want you home."

IMO I think she is alive, I think she is being so manipulated to think he is the good guy, scared and not sure what or where she will go from here because of him, He on the other hand is living off of it. He really has nothing to lose though. He's done! It's a matter of finding them. IMO

This statement is more in line with what I felt should have been the message all along. They love her unconditionally and want her safe with them.

What about money? Or credit cards? How are they living, eating, and getting along?
Are they still together?
Maybe I missed the part about day-to-day expenses -- food, somewhere to sleep, gas; she may be needing maternity clothes by now or soon. How is she doing? Is the growing baby healthy?

This one is terrifying.

IF they're still together, I'd bet money on them heading towards the southern US. But I just really hope this girl is still OK. Even if she IS, she's going to need so much help. :(

You dont need maternity clothing at first pregnancy until youre five months along and even then, baggy shirts and elastic pants can do it.
They could receive money from his mom and use a credit card that LE does not monitor. He could also work remotely or have savings

Definitely south. I suspect they went to Mexico. so easy to drop off the radar like that, especially when changing license plates. And not sure how long the drive is but I dont think it would take more than 3 or 4 days. Hannah Kobayashi left for Mexico and LE was unable to trace her. It seems in this case LE is always a step behind.

I am sure he is in the lead there, with all his „expertise“. He had children before but abused them. To her he will be the one who knows everything. And I am sure whereever they went there is obstetric care, also Mexico has at a fraction of the cost of an US birth. And she has still a lot of time until she is due

It has been more than two weeks Sophia Franklin's parents last saw their 16-year-old daughter. They have had "zero contact" with her. They don't know where she is. But they know who she is with, and that's the fact worrying them the most.

Sophia's mom said her biggest fear is she will never see her daughter again.

Secondly, I fear he has harmed her more than he already has or he has already mentally entrenched her more than he already has," Leah Franklin said.

Like many parents, we warned her about the dangers of being online," Leah Franklin said. "We put parameters on (online) usage. The situation we are in now, are the reasons we gave her for putting those parameters in place."

IMO, if anyone remembers the case some years back of T.Cummings, a teacher who went on the lam with a teenage student he'd been grooming. After a few weeks they were found, essentially camping out. I remember there being a few early sightings of the two, and then they weren't seen anywhere for awhile until someone recognized them. I really think that's what's happening here too. Which is even more concerning now in sub zero wind chills temps in OK, AR, KS etc. I also find the braveness and grooming factors in both cases to be very similar and alarming. Just MOO, as always.

Another concern is if he would harm her or attempt to abort the baby in any way. If they did head to Mexico, could that be why? I hope she's found safely soon, she has a very long road ahead either way. IMO.

What are the logistics of crossing the border? I presume they would use a forged passport to show she's at least 18? That wouldn't be cheap.

I hope GD has been put on the usual lists/notifications to alert authorities if he attempts to cross into Mexico.

IMO I think he's gone to somewhere he used to live or is familiar with. People are creatures of habit. Crossing the border would attract a lot of heat/attention.

Without a doubt they are camping out in parking lots, I doubt they have the sense to even try Mexico, they are likely spending cold nights in the car. I would appeal to him if I was the police, because I fear she's a bit into this role of being his protector and in turn compromising herself. Before anyone says why, it's more of a him thinking he could finally do something right and in so, appeal to him if he really cares for the baby and Sofia, he will do the right thing. I hope they are found sooner than later, because Sofia and the baby matter most and it will be a very chilly night in the South tonight.
