WISN: Amber Alert: Suspect, pregnant missing teen spent months together

This is fairly local to me. Interesting info in the article about her whereabouts last summer/fall.
I don’t understand why he wasn’t in jail ( not just on probation) for child kidnapping then. He’s obviously high risk and not able to be rehabilitated. Kidnapping a child across state lines typically comes with years behind bars. To my knowledge doesn’t sound like she was emancipated and living on her own. He should not have even been able to get this far again. Smh.

Right. I agree with all those things, and find this tragic.

But they were in Arkansas for months of their relationship, including the time when she got pregnant. She was there through December with him.

This is tragic, but their conception was not illegal.
But the kidnapping her and taking her out of state was and should take precedence

so many questions. Did her parents report her missing/runaway in August 2024? What led them to believe she was still in the Beaver Dam area during the time she was actually in Arkansas? How did Arkansas LE in December come to know she was there?

A. how old was she when he took her to Arkansas last year? She is 16 now, hasn't been forever. age of consent in Wisconsin is 18.

B. Doesn't matter what Arkansas age of consent is (16), a child of Wisconsin was taken there by an adult male, without her Wisconsin parents' consent.

C. refer to A and B - which makes the conception of her child/pregnancy absolutely illegal.

ETA you cannot simply go over state lines, take a minor (under that state's laws) remove them to another state with different laws, and do what you want. That isn't how any of this works.

Isnt it illegal to take a minor across state lines for sexual reasons?

ILLINOIS (KFVS) - The Illinois State Police has activated an Endangered Missing Person Advisory for a pregnant teen reported missing out of Wisconsin.

According to ISP, at the request of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Police, they are activating an Endangered Missing Person Advisory.

She's only 3 months pregnant, right? So she may not be showing at all yet. But she is a good bit taller than he is and that would be noticable. And of course the age difference if they are acting like a couple. Both their pictures, with pics of the car, need to be blasted on billboards on all the highways going south. Hopefully someone will recognize them and call it in. He's changed the plates, but so far, it doesn't appear he's changed the car.

Maybe one of the trucking charities that keeps an eye out for missing people could help? I know there is a poster here who was involved in that, but I can't remember her name. Has a chihuahua as an avatar.

The grooming of a minor is an offence. It was not a relationship.

Dear Lord. Where's the vomit emoji

It's been more than 72 hours since she went missing.

They could be several states away, so LE needs to be putting out APB's in a much wider net than just Illinois or Arkasas. I'd be thinking Minnesota, the Dakotas, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Tennessee.

Most likely, they are hiding out in a cheap motel, where she is not going outdoors and he is doing all the food shopping and such, in his 2013 Black Buick LaCrosse. I'd think small towns not near the interstate freeways.

First of all, I'd be checking any place where he has been known to be spending any time in.

I'm not trying to stir up controversy, and actually, protecting minors is very important to me. I'm pointing out, that this may not be as clear cut as it seems, if they hadn't had their relationship within the state of Arkansas for months, where consent is 16 years.

I'm not arguing this was in her best interest, at all, or a positive thing to have happened.

Though you refer to it again as a relationship, it's abuse, it's not a relationship.

I think I should probably bow out of this conversation. Don't want to offend.

According to the State of Arkansas, where they were, it is indeed a "relationship", regardless of how others view it in other states.

Anyway, prayers she is located safe and prayers something positive is done to help her little one have a full and happy life.

Is there not a way to trail credit card/cash card payments he might be making and or withdrawing cash

Since he's done this before, it's likely he's using only cash or a prepaid card.

MOO

Yes, we know he is experienced at this, and so is she, now.

Very sad to think she has been co-opted into this hopeless runaway scheme to get her away from people that love her and want to keep her (and the baby) safe.

He has a lot to lose if that baby survives. The issues with the child abuse of the other child make this even more plausible, I'm sad to say.

I get what you’re saying and I think it has a salient point. There’s a reason there was a protection order but no criminal charges after she first went to Arkansas. They probably couldn’t prove he actually took her across state lines if she did something like take a bus to Arkansas, and probably had issues with proving that he knowingly hid a missing juvenile, and the acts involved in getting her pregnant were likely committed in Arkansas where it isn’t illegal. So the parents could get a protection order but couldn’t get Wisconsin or Arkansas to press any charges; especially since the victim would be unlikely to cooperate as a witness against him because she thinks they’re in love because she’s been abused and groomed.

Now that he’s actively taken her across state lines and in violation of a protective order, there’s a lot more that the feds and/or Wisconsin can charge him with and effectively prove in court.
