At three months gone, would gender even be reliably determined? I'm reading that it's most common to know by the 20 week scan, and she's months away from that.

MOO
You can find out gender in the NIPT, a blood test. I just found out at 14 weeks pregnant. I’m not sure how early they can run that test though.

But would a 16 year old be able to get that test? Im thinking no....

If she had been receiving prenatal care, I don’t see why not. Since disappearing with Day, I doubt she’s going to the doctor, but my understanding was that her parents were aware she was pregnant. MOO

Not sure if this link has been shared, but it gives explicit details of the other abuse he was charged with.

It can be run as early as 10 weeks, but my reading of that document is that it's primarily meant to screen for Down syndrome. It doesn't sound like part of the normal series of tests available.

It's very normally available, as are other blood tests that screen for fetal DNA...any Y chromosomes in mom's blood, it's a boy. None, and it's probably a girl. Some can be performed at 6 weeks - I've spent quite a bit of time in online pregnancy forums over the past 10 years, it's way more common now than it was when I was pregnant with my oldest. Sneak Peek, Peekaboo are 2 examples of the fetal DNA blood tests. Insurance coverage varies.

I come on, hoping Sophia has been found.
Sadly, not yet.

There are at-home kits where the sex of the fetus can be determined as early as 6 - 10 weeks into the pregnancy. They sell them online through Amazon and quite a few drug stores carry them as well. “Intelligender” is one of the more popular ones. They are similar to a pregnancy test, just requires testing the urine of the mom.

I agree with you, un fortunately these are very many

  • States where the age of consent is 16 (31): Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio,Oklahoma, Pennsylvania,Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, and West Virginia
And even in most of these states, there are rules that state that the other party cannot be more than 3-5 years older than the 16/17-year-old. So even if these two were in one of these states, it would probably still be statutory rape.

The Illinois State Police has activated an Endangered Missing Person Advisory for a pregnant teen reported missing out of Wisconsin.

So he had residences/ties in Arkansas, Pennsylvania and Illinois. JMO also based on google search of public address records.
Wondering if he has children in these places.
If so, wondering if he is <choke, choke> helping support them. Grrrrr.

I can only speak for Europe, but there’s a bloodtest at 12 weeks (+/- 10 days for the results) that tells you the sex & wether your unborn child has one of x-amount of chromosonial abnormalities, like downs syndrome. In some countries they take the test at 10 weeks.

“The NIPT or Non-Invasive Prenatal Test is a blood test that is performed at the earliest in the 12th week of pregnancy. The test examines the DNA (= hereditary material) of your baby, which has ended up in your blood. The NIPT has a sensitivity of approximately 99% for Down syndrome. This means that the test detects more than 99 out of 100 children with Down syndrome. The chance that the test shows an increased risk, while your baby does not show Down syndrome, is less than 10%.”
