The Beaver Dam Police Department said 16-year-old Sophia Martha Franklin was last seen at her home on Sunday night, Feb. 2, around 9 p.m.

I'm sure there used to be rules even at 16. Pretty sure the other party had to be no more than 2 years older, which essentially meant you were both pretty much at the same maturity level, so more of an even playing field if you will. I've just googled and it seems those laws are no longer in place, and at 16 you can legally consent to doing the deed with someone your grandparents age if you like. This saddens me, because at 16 you're still very vulnerable to grooming and sleazy behaviour by a much older partner.

I think both of them denied any illegal contact happened before age 16 and denied anything happened in Wisconsin to keep it “legal.” Transporting a 16-year-old across state lines to avoid consent laws is probably criminal? Trafficking? But perhaps all of his actions were legal until her parents got the protective order.

Possibly someone is helping him financially, but I don't even know about that. But I don't feel he is the type of person who would ever seek medical assistance for her. I think if she had a medical issue, he would probably do very little and expect her to deal with it herself. JMO.

I still maintain that people aren't looking outside of the three states with the active alerts. Nancy Grace or News Nation needs to get on this or some kind of national coverage! They could be out in the open in 47 other states and no one would probably bat an eye

But he doesn't truly love her. His type of 'love' is poisonous and predatory, so he won't be doing anything in her or the baby's best interests unfortunately. He is a felon and we can only hope he gets caught, and Sophia rescued.
