  • Taylor and Shad were high school friends.
  • Shad's mom's boyfriend Steve last saw Shad Monday evening Feb. 21, 2022.
  • Mom Tara and boyfriend did not hear Taylor leave mom's home. Both heard a door slam and car engine start. Tara aware that Taylor had been over visiting... this was around 2:00/2:30 am (when Taylor left) on Feb. 22 and Tara went downstairs. Tara sees that the basement light is on.
  • Tara goes downstairs, sees bucket and lifts the towel covering the bucket... founds son's head in a bucket.
  • Tara goes to get her boyfriend Steve! Call to 911.
  • Strangulation is cause of death.
  • Taylor lived with someone named S. Holmes. Both Taylor and S. Holmes was arrested at their apartment.

Ugh, that poor family. For the mom to find her son like that was terrible but I guess better than the minor in household finding it. Although I believe Taylor has some mental health issues, I’m not sure she fits the criteria for insane. Drug use is not a viable defense for murder. She can’t say she didn’t know it was wrong because she clearly hid what she did or attempted to anyway.

Yah there's definitely some drug induced mental health issues at play but that doesn't really fly for NGRI, especially as she attempted clean up after the deed.

Will be interesting to see where trial goes when they put the brain experts on the stand and what the defense state that they believe she has.

I really do believe that she's going to start playing up though, she's already super twitchy one day in!

She has what I can only describe as the “ slappiest arse face” that I have ever seen on a defendant.

WARNING: GRAPHIC PHOTOS. Photos of the crime scene were shown yesterday to the jury. Knives were broken, still had blood and flesh on them. Blood stained mattress, etc..

WARNING: GRAPHIC PHOTOS. The jury also saw the chain that #TaylorSchabusiness admitted to police she used on the victim to choke him during a sexual encounter. She said she just kept choking him because it felt good.

IMO evil side eye.
It’s not drugs as she attacked her lawyer when she was clean. JMO
Some form of possession going on here.

So how does a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity work? Do the jurors decide if shes "insane"?
