Taylor Schabusiness, convicted of murder after murdering, decapitating and dismembering her lover, will no longer be assigned a public defender by the state of Wisconsin after firing her current attorney and previously attacking two others in court.

Her recent decision, however, to request the removal of the public defender representing her in one of these cases has left her without any representation in those proceedings after the Office of the Wisconsin State Public Defender said they will no longer provide her with legal counsel, according to an appellate filing obtained by PEOPLE.

Taylor Schabusiness was in court today on charges from last year where she is accused of attacking a jail guard.
A trial date was set today for October 27-29, 2025.
