Will George, Cindy & Lee Deny the Abuse Allegations?

  • #61
You know the way this family has stuck their necks out for ICA, makes me kind of wonder if it has been to keep here from bringing out how twisted this bunch really is. ( I haven't said anything).

It happens every day.

Yes it does Chakti... yes it does.

Here is what sticks in my craw, I think there are a lot of different things (pathologies, personality disorders, narcissism, etc.)going on in this family, that I don't think that it is one thing (Casey is a sociopath) exclusive to all others (Cindy is a narcissist, co-dependant etc.). I personally think George may be Bipolar (temper issues, spotty job history- up and down personality), but that doesn't trump the fact that Casey may be a sociopath (I might be missing something but is there a rule that sociopaths or psychopaths are never potentially the victims of abuse, neglect, or sexual assaults?).

I think the conflict and confusion comes from trying to separate it all out. Casey can be all of the things many of us think about her, but does that mean George and Cindy or even Lee are mentally healthy because it is Casey who is the problem? What a perfect victim Casey would be (if someone was inappropriate with her)- she's a known liar and lives in a fantasy world- perpetrators can smell a victim like that a mile away. Even if she is a sociopath, when she was little how threatening do you think she was to her grown mother and father, family members, neighbors and friends? Because she is a sociopath she could never have been harmed by others- (not even saying a victim by the family)- An outsider would readily smell the overlapping dysfunction of a family such as this and could easily take advantage of the fact that this strange, lying child would never be believed.

This is why I have such a hard time with all of this overlapping symptomology (that's not even a word), but I hope someone gets my point?! Please... anyone? I don't think the issues in this family are simple or relative to only one family member... I think their issues are comingled and feed off of one another. Caylee was maybe the golden child... the hope for something new... and maybe her appearance here was brief, and to bring a bright light to spotlight this families illness and dysfunction- to put an end to it! This family will no longer be able to feed off of itself. Casey is going to jail or being put to death. Lee will be getting married, and hopefully will be moving on, and Cindy and George will make it together, or they won't, but this family will no longer function in the sick manner it did in the past.

If (and this is a big if) Casey was the only 'problem' in this otherwise 'normal' family and these grown adults (an ex cop and a nurse- both college educated) allowed this sociopathic daughter to control and wield unbridled power over society, her sibling, her aged Grandparents, and a defenseless child, all to keep Casey happy and contained (as everyone suggests people with a sociopath do) then that in and of itself is the weakest, sickest, most pathological thing I have heard, and George and Cindy should feel guilty for what happened to that baby and ashamed for what they allowed Casey to do... unabated and unrestrained and certainly not unknown to them- if that is the case.

Can't wait til tomorrow- maybe, just maybe, we will start to get some answers... some honest answers to the questions and disagreements that have plagued us for almost three years now.:banghead:

Remember when the attorney for the Anthony's got together with Cindy and Baez and their attorney said everyone was on board with everything and that they weren't going to throw George under the bus....too hard.

Well, their attorney has changed his tune and George wasn't at the meeting, that says to me George is unwilling to go that far even if Cindy is willing to Kronk George. I think George realizes that Baez is sly and deceitful and once that can o' worms is opened it will never be closed. I'm pretty sure that Baez has said he may allude to it which is a Baezism for...bend over George.

For this to work Cindy, George and Lee have to be on the same page and I don't think Lee or Mallory want that stigma attached to them either. All in all I think this angle is less likely now and instead they will either try for Kronk or throw Cindy under the bus as the evil, manipulative mother from hell.

Maybe JB and ICA will claim emotional abuse. ICA felt she never was good enough. Always a disappointment. Etc.

So....she will claim Caylee died from an accident and she couldn't face her parents. But, in order for that excuse to be used, wouldn't there have to be testimony from a doctor about ICA being emotionally scarred?

I have to say, while I have been through this and was made to feel like this from my parents, I would never let that get in the way of doing what is right for my child.

Hopefully if the DT brings that up, the jurors will be able to see through it.

By the way, I don't think it will be George or Lee, I think the abuse will be from some close family friend or neighbor or relative who took advantage of her when she was young.

Fortunately you can't accuse someone randomly with out that person being deposed and being part of the witness list....unless he died in a car accident or something...or KC was asleep and remembers it is a dream sequence...just sayin'

fwiw.. if you really listen closely to LA's speech at the memorial that I posted above he (imhoo) was not speaking to Caylee at all... he was speaking to Casey

((my disgust renewed))

BBM:

I totally agree !!

Oooohhh ... I "cringe" every time I see that video of LA saying "I'm so proud of you CMA" !

Who ... in their right mind ... uses "initials" at a Memorial Service ?

But they were all deposed and are all witnesses.

I dont remember this "too hard". Also, the attorneys for the defendant are not going to tell the parents we need you to take the fall. George could easily go to the State and tell him this was offered to him to do it to save KC.

Actually GA sort of denied it with that "why? why? why?" letter he sent Casey in prison.

Also on one of the morning shows. Cinda excused it ga still had issues. But who the heck knows with this group

I've always believed that Lee is odd. Almost like "what's the big deal"? Caylee got killed. ICA did it....chuckle, chuckle......very unusual person

He definitely gave that impression especially at the Morgan depo with the laughing constantly. At one point the lawyer at the end says I don't get it, is this funny and Lee pulls it together immediately.

He is so use to laughing because he is nervous that he cannot keep it in check. Needs to work on that.

They better do better than that. Abuse when she was young won't cut it. It would have to be an ongoing thing.

"Too hard" is a euphemism in this case for their attorney's statement to the press saying they were aware of the situation and that George was aware and not particularly worried about the situation.

Later statements left no doubt that George would not allow himself to be thrown under the bus.

I don't think I said there was a conspiracy between the attorneys, only Cindy was present and I think she was informed that the defense may use this against the family. I think she was entirely fine with it. As was her attorney, at that time.

BBM Great points you make. Family dynamics are fascinating, and I've often heard that the 'sickest' presenting member of a family in therapy is not the one that is indeed the 'sickest.'

Back O/T: The Anthony's are kind of at a checkmate now (whether they will deny it or not.) Will be interesting which way they go.

didn't Lee take an in use immunity?
But wouldn't that immunity apply to what happened to Caylee, not to allegations of previous child abuse when ICA was a minor. Isn't LE older than CA? And what about GA, allegations against him... If he falls on his sword and "admits" in court to molestation of a minor, seems like he would face charges after the trial.

Actually GA sort of denied it with that "why? why? why?" letter he sent Casey in prison.

I kinda saw his "why? why? why?" as a "why bring this out in the open now and hurt our family?" rather than a denial.

I do not think so... it would be up to the state to decide..

would you press charges against him (or even persue them) if you were the state and you were just now hearing this from his mouth at trial?

(question: why can't the liar smilie be in the first group without having to go advanced LOL)

There have been so many twists and turns in this case, but my feelings are that most of the damning evidence came from the Anthony's. Lee said she was a liar and a thief. CA and GA both testified to the smell in the car. I don't know how they can go back on what they have previously testified to. jmo

You would think it would be as simple as that, but we're dealing with the Anthony's here. Cindy completely changed her story and lied on the stand when she said she put the dryer sheets in the case. In her deposition, her sworn testimony, she said she had no idea how the dryer sheets got in the car and didn't know why they would be there.

They will change their stories even more at this trial. I think the first action they will take is to play dumb with the whole ZFG nanny stories they have told for years and years.

I don't think they'll go along with it. The Anthony's lawyer has already released a statement denying it all. I think when George was on the stand and said he'd do anything to get Casey off... I don't think he really meant ANYthing. He was being overly-dramatic George, IMO.
