Will Jodi Arias take the stand?

I voted yes. She is pathologically unshakable and fearless, and thinks she can pull it off. Didn't she want to be her own attorney for a short time?

I believe Jodi will want to take the stand because she beiieves and is confident she can persuade at least one juror the state didn't prove their case.

While I voted Yes I believe the evidence presented by the state most certainly points to premeditated murder and trust Jodi Arias will be convicted and sentenced to death.

I voted 'yes' but it's more of a wishful thinking 'yes' I decided I wanted to watch this trial because before it started, everything I had heard, said she would have to testify because she is claiming self defence.

We know the judge will question her as to her decision being solely hers and hers alone whether she testifies or not.

My personal opinion is that it depends on where she thinks she has the jury at the moment. Sympathetic to her - she will testify. Unsympathetic to her - she won't.

I just don't know whether she will or not.

There is no doubt that :dramaqueen: Jodi wants to take the stand ... she THINKS she will be able to "convince" the Jury that it was "self-defense" ...

BUT ... her Defense Team is going to advise her NOT to take the stand ... defense attorneys NEVER want their "guilty" clients to take the stand and for GOOD reason ...

AND then the Judge is going to question Jodi as to whether the decision to testify or NOT testify was HER decision ... blah blah blah ...

I don't like to bring up that other :dramaqueen: in Florida and her Defense Team ... BUT I see a big difference in the way JA's Defense Team interacts with her when compared to how CA's team interacted with her ... JA's DT does not "coddle" her like CA's DT coddled her ...

JA is very very arrogant and overly confident and no doubt if her DT told her not to take the stand she would tell them to "f-off" ... JA is going to do what she wants to do, whether they like it or not ...

Even though I Don't Know IF she will take the stand, I lean more toward her doing so ...

This is HER "show" and in her WARPED mind, she is the "star" of the "show" :sick:

I voted yes, mainly due to her seeming to want the limelight (representing herself at one point), plus the defense needs her to tell the self-defense story.

If she does take the stand, however, plan to add another month to this trial, because girl can TALK. She'll talk herself right into a guilty verdict, imo, if she hasn't already via those interviews with LE. We can hope!

I voted not sure, because I'm still on the fence. It may prove difficult to present self-defense without her testimony--and from what I've seen of her interviews, she's a talker. She probably wants to testify, but her lawyers may discourage her from doing so.

I don't think she will testify and not only because her attorneys strongly advise against it. I think she knows that she is finished and no one will believe that she acted in self defense. She doesn't want to humiliate herself further.

She will do it, and it will not make any sense at all. She will say many stupid things like she has before. It will be funny until we all remember that she brutally murdered Travis Alexander because if she could not have him, then no one could. And not just murdered him- slaughtered him like a pig and then went off to another boy. She will take the stand because in her mind she is right, everyone else is wrong- but hopefully the prosecution does a good job tearing her lies apart. I hope they bring up her multiple stories, putting on makeup, and hooking up with another boy after.

Hi, Tiger09. Being on the list is no guarantee that she will testify. Any competent defense wants to keep options open.

In a sense, Jodi has already testified multiple times, so it seems likely that she will be obliged to testify to nullify the cumulative effect of her elaborate lies.

I think it could be possible if she were to just take the stand and admit the truth the jury might take pity on her and spare her life. jmo
