Has any DNA evidence been found from any of the bags the Gilgo 4 women were put in from the suspect? Or is it something the feds are keeping quiet about........then again, I wonder if Suffolk county had any evidence destroyed since there were cover ups.

DNA was probably degraded and destroyed.
They must have some type of forensics. Hopefully.

Is this a conspiracy of guys covering up for a known killer to them? What a cesspool Suffolk County.........if the feds never get the killer, it definitely won't happen from within SC police dept.

It really has nothing to do with payoffs -per se, and favors. It has to do with opening up a can of worms no one wants opened. In Suffolk county a lot of people trade in information about each other.

Another very viable suspect just popped up on the scene. He is one of thousands that can fit like a glove as a suspect. He is very much part of the system. The good news is the feds have him because the case was never picked up by Spota. Might be a couple of judges involved.

NOTHING CHANGES IN SUFFOLK COUNTY unless you call things getting worse not a change.

You folks should GOOGLE: David Trager and add on something like the criminal justice system infected. That will bring you to several stories going back to as early as 1987. He was a US attorney, EDNY, Chairman of the NYS SIC, and a federal judge. Read his opinions on all the usual suspects, including the FBI.

It’s first-degree panty larceny.

A Long Island judge got caught with his robes down Thursday after he broke into a neighbor’s house and took off in possession of a pair of women’s panties, a report said.

Suffolk County Judge Robert Cicale snuck into the East Islip home at around 9 a.m. but fled once he realized a 23-year-old women was inside, according to Newsday.

The woman called 911 and gave them a description of Cicale.

Cops then discovered the judge outside the home and with the undies on his person, the paper said.

“He was found with . . . female undergarments. We don’t know if these were the proceeds from the burglary today or a previous break-in,” Acting Commissioner Stuart Cameron told Newsday.

Cicale was charged with second-degree burglary.

My information is it is a lot worse than that and might come out in court tomorrow, I can only can go on what I heard and if it is true we have to ask why did it take so long to catch him. Just what I heard.

Stuart Cameron really does freak of me out though just from watching him stand behind Burke & Spota all those years. Now does that necessarily make him a bad guy? Yes.

The one consistent thread with older and experienced SCPD cops is : The worse you are the higher you go in the PD. That is not to say Cameron is such a cop, but I heard it too often to be ignored.

A Suffolk District Court judge was arrested Thursday and charged with burglary, after Suffolk police said he entered a neighbor’s home in East Islip without permission.

Robert Cicale, 49, of Donna Place, is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in the same kind of court where he presides, police said. He was arrested at about 9 a.m. after he entered a neighbor’s home on Donna Place and then ran away after realizing someone was inside the residence, police said.

He is charged with second-degree burglary and was being held overnight at the Third Precinct before arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip.



It was unclear Thursday evening if he had an attorney.

Acting Police Commissioner Stuart Cameron said a 23-year-old female was at the home alone when she heard a noise and saw a man in the house. When police responded to her 911 call, they found a man outside who matched the description she gave and who later was identified as Cicale, Cameron said.

Police found female underpants in Cicale’s possession, but it was unclear whether the underwear was stolen Thursday, Cameron said.

“He was found with . . . female undergarments. We don’t know if these were the proceeds from the burglary today or a previous break-in,” Cameron said in an interview Thursday.

It was unclear whether the judge knew the woman at the house, he said.



Cicale was elected in 2015 on the Republican, Conservative, Green, Independence and Reform party lines. He also served as Islip Town attorney and worked for the Legal Aid Society, which represents indigent defendants.

A spokesman for the state Office of Court Administration, Lucian Chalfen, said in an email: “We will be addressing the judge’s status in the morning. He will be arraigned by a Nassau County district court judge who will be sitting in Central Islip.”



Chris Brocato, president of the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association, said, “He has a reputation not only as a good judge but as a good human being, too.”

He said the judge was “universally loved” by prosecutors and defense attorneys, adding “This is a very nice individual, a very compassionate individual.”

“When you knew you had to go to D-52 [his courtroom], you knew you were going to be treated fairly,” Brocato said.

Hawk, you ever hear of Russell Williams, a rapist & killer that was a Colonel in the Canadian military that was a decorated military pilot who had flown Canadian Forces VIP aircraft for dignitaries such as Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, and the Governor General and Prime Minister of Canada.

He had broken into like 82 women's homes & stolen lingerie, panties & bras. Then he moved onto sexually assaulting 3 women, taking & killing one before getting caught.

A lot of these stories start with breaking in & stealing women's panties/lingerie, then moving to sexual assault & then murder.

I wonder if he just started down on this road, or was at it for a while......he's 49 years old, so not young, but not too old either.

The Long Island judge who cops say broke into a neighbor’s home and was later found with a pair of the women’s worn underwear was mum Friday morning as he was walked from an area police station in handcuffs.

Suffolk County District Judge Robert Cicale, 49, was escorted out of the Suffolk County Police Department’s 3rd Precinct in Bayshore by two detectives just before 8 a.m.



Cicale, wearing a gray Ralph Lauren polo, dark jeans and blue plastic shoe covers over his feet, said nothing to reporters as he was led out of the front of the precinct stationhouse and put in the back of a waiting black detective’s car.

Cops say a 23-year-old East Islip woman was home alone Thursday morning when she heard a noise and then saw a man who ran off.

The startled woman called 911 and gave a description of the suspect.

Cicale, a married father of three who matched that description, was arrested near the home and with the stolen “soiled female undergarments” on his person, authorities said.

He was charged with second-degree burglary and was awaiting arraignment Friday.

Sure did and there was a documentary on TV about him. You don't have to go back much further than the Judge Wachtler horror show. Lot more to that story about who, what, and why the FEDS/FBI got so involved in that fiasco. Wachtler got screwed big time when all that should have been done was to quietly ask him to resign and seek medical help.

SUFFOLK COUNTY DISTRICT JUDGE APOLOGIZES, ADMITS HE'S SERIAL UNDERWEAR STEALER



EAST ISLIP, Long Island - Suffolk County District Judge Robert Cicale says he's stolen his female neighbor's underwear on several occasions. He's now facing 15 years behind bars.

Cicale was arrested on burglary charges and appeared in court Friday morning.



The judge is a married father of three young children, and is charged with sneaking into a home across the street and stealing the underwear of a 23-year-old woman who lives there with her parents.

He said that he stole the underwear upon feeling "urges."

Investigators say it happened at 9 a.m. Thursday when the young woman was alone.

Prosecutors say the young woman was sleeping, but woke up when she heard the door open. She called out, "Hello?" That's when she saw Cicale at the doorway and he turned around and ran away.

The young woman closed and locked the door and called her mother. Her mother called 911.

Police quickly responded and saw Cicale walking up to a different house and pretending to knock on the door.



They approached him because he matched the description of who the young woman described.



Prosecutors say, Cicale's story to police just "doesn't add up." They found several pairs of soiled women's underwear on him. Victim identified the items as her underwear.

The judge admitted that he went into the young woman's hamper and took the underwear...on several occasions.

He has written letter of apology to victim and also provided a written confession. However, Cicale entered a plea of "not guilty" in court.



"This is highly disturbing. This is an individual who swore to uphold the law. He violated it in a very serious way," said Timothy Sini, Suffolk County District Attorney. "The message here from both the Suffolk County Police Department and the Suffolk County District Attorney's office is that no one is above the law and we'll prosecute this case to the fullest extent of the law."

The Nassau County District Judge presided over Cicale's case and says he will receive mental health treatment.



"His reputation throughout the court is stellar," said William Wexler, Cicale's attorney. "Every judge, every lawyer respects him and we just have to see how the process plays out." Wexler went on to say that the judge's wife is standing by her husband through this process.

Cicale was ordered held on $50,000 bond.

Neighbors were shocked when they learned of the judge's arrest.

"From what I heard it's a little perverted maybe, and that never makes sense to me," said William Bloom, a neighbor.

Cicale is a graduate of St. John's Law School, a former legal aid attorney and a former Islip Town Attorney, elected to the District Criminal Court in 2016.

He knows victim from when she was an intern in the Islip Town Attorney's Office.

"He's a family man, he's always outside playing basketball with his kids," said Jay Moceri, a neighbor. "He's always jogging, he's always friendly to everybody in the neighborhood."

From what I read and what I have been told I have to wonder why this fellow wasn't caught long before the latest incident? My understanding is they may have videos of him in other homes with enough information that should have required immediate action.

But this is a county that routinely covers up crimes of the connected until they can no longer do so.

This man needs medical help and support, not jail.
