Witness accounts

We all know who the major "players" are in the court of public opinion. The funeral director was part of them. Another witness that will never testify.

No, I do not know, but you obviously believe that you do. Who would that be?

Doesn't the political stuff belongs in Sound Off thread? I don't believe it has anything to do with why GZ shot TM. jmo

The dog. Funny how similar the two marks on Zimmerman's head look like a dog bite. IMO

DR F, I too have wondered where the dog ran off to and where the kid retrieved the dog. I can't believe it never occurred to me that the dog may have bitten GZ...now wouldn't that be something! If that did happen, that would surely pizz GZ off.

One more thing:
The 13 year old with the dog sure does possess the same basic body build as TM. I keep thinking that he is one lucky kid. He could have been walking home, talking on his phone, on a chilly night in February, when he pulled up his hood to stay warm & dry. If he had taken cover from the rain at the clubhouse or did a silly happy dance while joking with someone on the phone....and GZ had seen him....

This whole "HOODIE" word annoys me. If anyone other than a black young person covers their head with the hood of their sweatshirt, it is called a "HOOD."

In driving around in the rain, recently, I have deliberately taken notice of what people do with the hood of their jacket or sweatshirt. Some would not believe how many people put the hood up...especially those who do not have an umbrella.

One thing I have noticed as well, is that Many Teens of Every Skin Color are wearing their hooded sweatshirts and are wearing the hood up even when it is sunny. I say, good for them.

but the ME will and tell if there are wounds on TM fists to fit the scenario of his assaulting GZ...or if there are defensive wounds showing he tried to stop GZ from assaulting him..

the ME will also know the trajectory of that bullet fired from GZ weapon.

The ME will also know if TM struggled with GZ over his gun, as he now alleges..

The ME will know how far or close GZ was when he fired that weapon into the chest of TM..

The ME will explain how much damage a hollow point bullet does to one's chest..

The ME will also know if TM covered his hands over GZ's mouth, as he contends..

The ME's testimony will carry the weight over what eye witnesses or earshot witnesses seen or heard..TM's remains will be a treasure trove of information...

I await the autopsy report to be made public but that's a long time to come..

Been callin' them hoodies 'round my house for 15+ years. Ever since my kids started sports.

As in: "MOM! Where's my Cougars hoodie?"
(cover your ears b/c that's a really, really loud yelling sound.)

We have always called them "hoodies" around my house. My kids don't ask for their sweatshirt with the hood. I even call mine hoodies and I'm certainly not even close to being a teen.

If TM was slamming GZ's head into the ground, he wouldn't show any wounds. All one has to do is grab hold of the coat collar or the shoulders of their intended victim and violently shake them.

ETA: Which reminds me of the Yeardley Love case. Huguely claimed that when he shook YL, her head (unintentionally) hit the wall.

Yes, he would. GZ wouldn't have just laid there and taken it. He would have been scratching, clawing, pulling, tugging, hitting Trayvon. If Trayvon was beating GZ to the extent some claim, Trayvon would not have escaped without injuries.

JMO and experience.

The witness account says that GZ was being beaten and yelling for help, not that he was fighting back. Going by height alone, TM would have had more reach than GZ and he would have been able to avoid any frantic thrown punches. IMO, it's conceivable that TM would have minimal bruising.

I think we've discussed this before, but does bruising even show up when someone dies shortly after. I recall one commenter pointing out that blood rushes to the vital body parts upon trauma and that TM may not have any bruising on his extremities because of this. Does anyone else recall that discussion?

Not sure what difference it makes how old the article is, he is still active in the organization.

I brought the NAACP up to point out exactly what I pointed out, he's not just a funeral director, he has ties to the main players in this case.

Yes, like I wrote, nothing like the Enquirer, where I would expect something like this to be. He appeared all over the place, actually,CNN included.

The NAACP is NOT an extremist organization. From their website:
"Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization. From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight for social justice for all Americans."
http://www.naacp.org/

If I were black and a business owner, I would imagine this is an organization that I would belong to. Social justice for all Americans is not a bad thing. MOO.

I'm about as white bread as they come and I belong to the NAACP. It's not just black people that join up.

What is the difference in what the funeral director is doing versus MOM, GZ's Brother, GZ's Father and GZ's website that is raking in far more money than the Martin's will ever see? He is just stating his opinion and if Trayvon did beat the carp out of GZ I would think his knuckles would be bruised.

She's despicable. The PR firm (Julison Communications) is despicable. That's my opinion, and that's all I'm saying here.

Please, I know most of us refer to these hooded sweatshirts as my such and such sweatshirt..."Mom, honey, brother, sister, whoever where's my UCLA sweatshirt, my baseball, basketball, "Jordon, Addidis, Nike, Abercrombe," whatever sweatshirt? We can't ignore the fact that when the wearer of such is a black teen, somehow the word "Hoodie" suddenly takes on some foreboding tone. In this case it definitely played into GZ, suspicions, IMO.
