'Last week, 30-year-old Sabrina Kauldhar was arrested and charged with three murders in Toronto, Niagara Falls and Hamilton, Ont. CBC’s Ali Chiasson breaks down what we know so far about the first victim from Toronto.Read more: http://www.cbc.ca/1.7343289'

How did her mother die? By dramatic means or a lengthy illness?

I've been meaning to say that I am impressed by how quickly police (from several different jurisdictions) put the case together and arrested her. She was arrested only 5 hours after the 3rd victim was killed. (according to the CBC video above.)

And the Niagara murder is the most perplexing to me. That park location looks like it is in the middle of a suburban area...not likely accessible by GO Bus or Greyhound bus and not a very walkable area. The location in Hamilton was close to downtown and very walkable.

And I'd really like to understand how she ended up with the clothes from Giant Tiger. Did she know the woman who bought them?
the woman in Giant Tiger is a delivery driver

'He said the distance that grew between him and his sister after she began her studies at the University of Waterloo more than a decade ago, has left him out of the loop about her recent whereabouts and the state of her life before police arrested and charged her last week.'

He said both of her parents were great people, but tragedy struck four years ago when her mother died of an illness, according to an online obituary.

for some reason I can never read the Star articles - just the headlines - when I click on the article, it reverts to just headlines - don't know if it's some kind of paywall? can you see the whole article @dotr?

I wonder if the woman from Giant Tiger who's purchases were found on Sabrina was known to Vu?

not likely
she was a delivery driver and suspect ordered the clothes online

Where were the clothing items delivered to Sabrina? To the address with Vu or elsewhere? Sorry if I've missed this point.

An alleged serial killer travelled "on foot and public transit" from one attack to another last week in Toronto, Niagara Falls and Hamilton, according to police.
Court records obtained by CBC News show Kauldhar was also charged and convicted of violent offences in the past.
Between the three attacks on Oct. 1, 2 and 3, Cattle said Kauldhar stayed at a Motel 6 in nearby Burlington, where she was arrested.
The daughter of two dentists, Kauldhar's behaviour appears to have turned violent in her 20s.

From link, ty..rbbm
''According to the same poster, Kauldhar graduated from Innisdale in 2012 and attended the University of Waterloo for a year before “something went wrong.”

“I’m not sure what, but social media got deleted around that time and she became popping up with weird names and accounts, posting bizarre things and acting erratic in videos she would post, etc.,” they wrote. “I used to be friends with her in 2011/2012. I had a brief (conversation) with her around 2015 on (Facebook) or (Instagram), but I can’t seem to find it.

“She reached out to me in 2019, not as a personal message so much as I think a blast to everyone, she was looking to buy liquor,” they added. “This is a really sad story. Unfortunate (sic) she couldn’t seem to get herself turned around. I hope she gets the help she needs. She used to be so pretty and just bright (sic) a light to a room. I’m not sure what happened.”

so this just didn't happen out of the blue JMO

... but I also knew of her violent past with her housemates,” she said.

The woman also said she was aware back then that Kauldhar was struggling with some mental health challenges.

I wonder how she came to be roommates with Vu? Any info about who asked whom to move in?

Yep, saw that coming.

Absolutely.

Seems clear that these horrors might have been a long time brewing.

Her movements during the spree must have made picking up the pattern, such as it was, that much harder.

In hindsight we all saw that coming. But did no one prior to the killings see it coming?
